I adore Kristin, even before the hills when she was on Laguna Beach as a bratty teenager haha... she has become so mature and a beautiful woman, it's nice to see! P.s. she got robbed on DWTS! I hope she's on an all-star season!
Breaking up with your man because you want him to change might work. But maybe over time he'll go back to his former ways. Change is difficult to do for somebody else. It's far better to make changes for yourself.
I actually did this not knowing the actuality of it. I felt what I needed to, according to my gut and heart, at that time. I didn't think, "Oh i want him to change so I must be gone." I adored him, was serious with him but did not like this specific thing that would be toxic to our relationship so I called and said, "hey, I really care about you and you are the greatest guy I've known but that is not okay with me. I promised myself I would never date a guy like that. I don't want to change you so I'll just be on my way." He tried contacting me for a week and one day, we happened to be at the same place and he chased me down to apologize and talk to me. It's been almost 2 years and he did change. It's all up to him and the past 2 years were definitely a work in progress but I see the efforts he's made. Ladies - remember, no man is perfect :)

Yeah, we're together...almost 2 years. It was within the early stages of dating when that happened. I gotta say it's definitely not easy but very worth it. It's like riding a bike over and over until you get to the next level. Then it becomes a bit more challenging haha like those old school video games but through those challenges, you become better at it...smarter...more confident...but it's still hard and a b9tch to go through hahah remember to stay true to yourself and that it's okay to disagree and state your opinions, what you like/don't like bc you're special...duh?! Why else would he be dating you? You're not just "some girl", you're "the girl" and your type of girl speaks her mind without being too much :) and yes, we are ALL not perfect ;) Good luck to you, girl!
One thing I struggle with is allowing my true self to be seen and known. My thing is flight or freeze. Fighting makes me feel overwhelmed, and I hate the pain of those feelings. '' She chose peace at ( almost ) any price. '' could be on my tombstone :-) It's good to see the humor ! You, on the other hand, are assertive. And I agree, it is worth it now and will going forward. Sometimes we teach people how to treat us. Good luck to both of us !
