OK Kelley, I couldn’t help myself when you mentioned about the tweezers it’s a must have in this business. When you said they’re really good at picking knots. And I’m still laughing out loud… I said oh” good at picking nose’s too…lmbo… I know you will catch this humor and understand it… but I just had to say it… you know I love your channel and I love you too. Super big hugs 🤗, Michelle
thank you, today I was at my internship jewellery job, and I've worked with beads before (mostly wire beading) but when they asked me to do pearl knots, I couldn't do it and thread kept frying even after burning it, and I felt so dumb, they sent me home earlier and told me I needed to learn so many things, now this is a super basic technique I know, but I haven't done it before and didn't want to do just any knot that would become undone or something because they were real pearls. Watching this I now practiced more for tomorrow, jewellery making is fun but it can be very specific about how they want things done so, thank you so much for explaining this simple knotting technique.
Kelly thank you for this tutorial in your clear and precise understanding of teaching us how to not pearls I've always wanted to know how this process work and I appreciate this video very much yes I will be trying this so that I can be better at making jewelry thank you again for this tutorial ❤
I have watched so many different videos that use so many types of tools to do knotting; But your method is really clicking for me and I am anxious to try it. Thank you for all of your videos.
4 years ago, I won a prize of 3 strands of freshwater pearls. I've gone back and forth with trying to figure out what I'd like to make with them. I've pearl knotted before and love doing it - I think it's relaxing! I learned last week that pearls are the trend for this year... glad I waited! And, you just got me back in the mood to start up pearl knotting again... Thanks! Your videos are so inspiring and educational - Love them!
I searched the utube for tutorials on pearl knotting n yours was the very best!! You are such a great teacher!!🎉 I subscribed n am enjoying your channel. Thank you!! From Ajo, AZ
Bead tips and caps absolutely confound me. I wish I understood how you put that on! I am envisioning having an open side with a hook, with you having to string the knot through and yet you attached it so fast without even stringing it. I wish I knew the how and why of those. It's my only missing piece but a big one at that!
These bead tips are awesome. You just clamp it around the side of the knot. No holes to go through. So much easier than the old fashioned ones. We sell them in 6 or 7 different colors. Give them a try!
Also, this is really a good refresher course… and I am making a very boho type necklace with sterling silver..Actually it’s going to be more like a choker necklace but not as tight and I will be using some gorgeous pearls that I bought at a gem show. Now can’t tell you the rest of the design because it’s gotta stay a secret lol 😂 gosh I feel like a comedian today… oh, and I’m starting my RUclips channel. Hopefully you and I can do a little show together. Anyway, love you bunches. Big hugs. 🤗, Michelle
Really love this bracelet girlfriend so classic and I love the colour of the pearls 😍 💕 Just ordered some pearls so looking forward to making this thank you for another awesome tut ♥️♥️♥️ you are an awesome teacher 😀
HELLLLO, KELLY 😅 HOW ARE YOU. Thank you for helping me to get my bead MOJO back. You really do inspire me. It's getting close to tucson time. You're gonna have such a wonderful time with the gang. Nealay, Kate, Sam & Rachel, Softflex and more...so lucky. ❤❤❤ be safe have a blast. You deserve it .
So pretty. And I learned…go all the way to the end of the silk… or the remainder it becomes worthless without the needle! Deep! Can’t wait to get the nerve to try this again! I assume sizing is length only unless beads are extra large? And you uploaded while in AZ! Yeah for us!
I was looking how to make a pull necklace and you make it look so easy.......need to get some leather and want to make a necklace for essential oils. I appreciate YOU.....and I have my mother's pears and my mother-in-law's pearls and I actually wear them a lot !!!
Morning Kelly…great tutorial…I have a question…I have tried using sterling silver bead tips when I knot, whether using pearls or other gemstones, and the bead tips break…the little hook that goes onto the clasp doesn’t seem strong enough…you used an antique copper pair for this project…is it better to use a metal other than sterling silver for the added strength?? Looking forward to your response…best, Susan

That’s awesome! Knotting is one of my favorite techniques. Once you get in to a rhythm I’m sure you will love it too.
What a brilliant idea for knotting pearls! I used to use a needle for knotting but using tweezers is much easier. Thanks for the post 💜
You are so welcome!

Good thing my order hadn’t been sent yet. Need the pearls now ….
I made one but didn’t have the silk thread so the knotting didn’t turn out uniform but still looked okay.
Kelly, I am telling you, if I could afford it I would come to study with you❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Oh, Kellie, I just love this! You are such a good instructor. I have several strands of pearls. If l were to sale these, how much should l ask?
That depends on the price of the pearls!
Can you give me an example?@@KelliesBeadBoutique

Hmm. Without seeing which ones you are using it’s hard for me to tell.
Where do you find magnetic clasps with a safety chain?
We sell magnetic clasps and chain. You could easily make your own.
Can I use s-Lon instead of silk? I don’t have any silk thread.
Yes but it will be hard to get through the beads if you don’t have a small eye needle.
Gotcha!
