As requested! This is the FULL version of the hand-knotting video that we uploaded earlier. Let me know how you use this technique in your own projects!
Hi! I'm new to this. But I'd like to ask what exactly do you call the clasp that you used? Because they got spring. Thank you very much for your reply 😊
You are really the best! I been doing off and on the pearl, gemstone knotting for the past 15 years, and that pearls seems that are likeable for women all ages! I learned using the tweezers is definitely much easier, and the glue at the end of the thread, and is coming fantastic! Thank you so much.
I inherited a beautiful set of pearls that required re-stringing, and a new more modern clasp. After watching your video, I have successfully restrung them, and the necklace is just stunning. Thank you x
I have watched a few videos on stringing pearls, but this one is by far the best and i will be using this technique to re-string my daughter's pearl bracelet. This video showed exactly what this excellent teacher was doing. Her hands were positioned where the viewer could always see the work, the closeups were in focus, and furthermore, the camera stayed on the work long enough for the viewer to understand exactly what was being done. The audio quality was very good also, and the instructor was charming.
Very thorough and clear explanation on pearl knotting. Best part is only simple hand tools are required. Plus some crucial skill which is easy to master. Now my hands are itching to try out my first project. Thank you Christine.
Christiane, In my opinion you give the best instructions along with being able to see exactly what you are doing at the same time. I learned a lot from you to perfect my techniques when you were on JTV and I am still learning. I think you are the best. Thank you so much for what you do. Love your videos and thanks again. Until next time! Happy Beading, Nancy Markle
This was a wonderful video and I love how patiently you explained each step and why you do it. I’m sure I can do this as it seems that the two key requirements are a lot of patience and fine tweezers. Patience I have, fine tweezers I need to invest in, but thankfully they are not a ridiculously expensive tool. Thank so much for sharing!
Hi Southpaw Studio! I'm a southpaw too, do you think this video was left handed? It seems like she was doing something that made more sense to me somehow, lol I think I need validation, I play golf and baseball right handed.
@@jillrichardson4609 I’m not really sure . Here tweezers are in her right hand but she does the knot in her left . So I’m going to say both lol I also golf and bat right handed . I would consider myself ambidextrous in a lot of things though . 😊
Christine this was very helpful and I’m going to follow your instructions to restring two sets of my great aunt and grandmothers pearls. I’ve been afraid for years to have them done by a jeweler and decided it was time to find a tutorial on RUclips to DIY! As soon as I finish, I’ll post a picture for you. Thank you.
You can do it! I have confidence. Maybe practice on some cheap beads too start but either way, it's not permanent so if you aren't satisfied you can start over. But, I don't think you will have to. You will be so happy to do this yourself!
Thank you so much! You are the best, I made wonderful piece with you help, charming, talented teacher. One question, please, where wid you buy your clasps? I would buy everything you would recommend. Very grateful to you!
I would like know the size difference of the silk thread on a spool as opposed to using then thread that is on a card. Example, the size difference from FFF on a spool would be what size on a card. Thank you, enjoyed your tutorial

Was wondering where can I find the compression clasps.
What size silk cord do you recommend when buyin on a spool?
It really depends on the size of your bead holes!

Do you have any tutorials on the endless strands mentioned?

They are called EZ Crimps from Beadalon- www.beadalon.com/products/findings_ezcrimp.asp

Is there a video on how to finish the necklace without a clasp?
@@sissetiedt9352 I'm sorry. I don't have that one.
What size of thread do i need for 4mm pearl? Thx
It all depends on how big the hole is but I'm going to guess #1 or #2
Are these real cultured pearls ?
Yes they are. Freshwater, not saltwater though.
