yeah, but he may be used for build up play more than finishing off chances. Remember, teams park the bus against City. So only wingers, fullbacks and Strikers will guarantee you points. Creative players like Bernado or Odegaard do stand out in such systems. But only because of individual talent.

As a Forest fan if we sign another full back I’m 95% sure it won’t be a Lb .. we already have aina who can play either side toffolo and Omar Richards. No need for more Lb cover it will be a RB that comes in due to not having any depth on the right side

Two players I’m really coming round to with a WC4 strategy, is Mbuemo and DCL instead of Eze and another 5.5-6m fwd option (in a Salah and Haaland team). Both Mbuemo and DCL have two good home fixtures in those first three.
The reason not to go for Isak, is by just going for Gordon who is cheaper and doesn't take up a striker slot, if that should be relevant. I'm going for Isak, as it goes, but I also don't have Haaland.
I've managed to get a 99% rating on fpl hub without Haaland. Hard to go against that. If you spend 9m on keepers, then that leaves 91m for 13 spots which gives an average of 7 per position. At 15m Haaland means you need to go below average for three players to balance. Could work of course. Lots of 6.5 mids that are decent.

As if it was a surprise that he scored 3 goals and now MUST be in your team? Both City and Chelsea had no where near a normal starting 11, it was a pre-season friendly, and most importantly... the no Haaland draft never doubted he could and would score 3 goals in some games and may likely end up top scorer for the season. But NOT having him allows ALL the other 5 (200+ point) top midfield options plus decent options elsewhere, which combined "should" return more points and give complete safety from pep roulette and injury to all your 'eggs in one Haaland basket' (who before last night was clearly questionable in terms of fitness). Haaland scored 3 goals, he does that sometimes. Nothing has changed, yet everyone is going nuts on X? One player can have an off game, get injured, not start.. I'd rather have the other top 5 point scorers stacked in my team. Walker, Foden, KDB, possibly Haaland all questionable whether they start GW1 (Alvarez being sold off?), yes Chelsea have more money than potential and suck, but this notion that Haaland is essential because he got 3 goals vs Chelsea in a pre-season is nuts. Yes he's the best FPL option, but then you end up with the likes of Nkunku (injury prone like James so far), Gibbs-White , Rogers e.t.c and a few other lucky punts to stay in budget.
I think szobo is the key this season for those who will go with haaland...it's a risk but if he takes the number 10 role then that would be a some what of relief to go without salah

WHU bought Foderingham from Sheffield Utd and he was decent shotstopper over there, Fabianski is like 40, not sure about him being second choice. Also I find it funny there's mad scramble everytime Haaland scores goals. We have Haaland-less teams for a reason. Nobody denies he's decent goalscorer but team overall is more balanced and "better" (well...as a team).

Probably Eze and Trent but you'd just have to make sure Trent starts the season with him coming into training late, honestly think Eze and Porro is a pretty solid combo is you have a use for the saved funds
Pff, I was on no Haaland but he is making me very nervous now. If I choose between Haaland and Salah, Haaland and a 6.5 mid are up against Watkins and Salah. I prefer the last option in that case. If I go Haaland and Salah I have to sacrifice Watkins, Saka (for a 4.5 bench fodder and I have to play Pedro and Andreas every week) and Porro for a 4.5 defender. That is a lot of downgrades. I really don't know the right play here.

I do hear reports that Chelsea are still in the market for a forward like Osimhen, who would definitely start should he join. Of course, Jackson could get three favourable coin flips that you can exploit. I personally don't have the stomach to take a 7.5 gamble when I have Haaland, Salah, Son, Trent, Gvardiol with no intention to offload any of them (unless injury) until GW6.
