A tower crane rises in San Diego - Time-lapse, variable speed with some closeups

- Tower cranes are following me everywhere! On a recent visit to San Diego, by coincidence I happened to have a view of a #towercrane being assembled, so of course I had to make a video. This is a variable-speed #timelapse with some closeups scattered throughout.
This of course has nothing to do with the hospital, but I figured it still might be of interest to the viewers of this channel anyway. As a bonus, there are also some views of San Diego trolleys going back and forth in the background, some semi-trucks driving around the parking lot for unknown reasons, and various comings and goings of people and buses down below.

I watched every single week of your San Francisco hospital construction and absolutely loved it. I really hope that you’ll be able to film another large and interesting construction project soon. Thank you very much, for over 4 years of extremely entertaining viewing. 🏗 👍🏻
Thank you for the nice comment! At this point, I have no idea what the future holds...
I hope this is the beginning of a build as the last HOSPITAL build was, I enjoyed seeing how construction life goes day after day . Great videos
Alas, I was just there for a visit
I like how when each truck is finished, another magically arrives.
That how a good logistics team is put together to make it happen. I am glad someone noticed that.
The tower cranes are probably thinking, "Geez, this Hospital guy is everywhere, always trying to video us. What's up with that?" :-D
That was awesome. Alway enjoy the crane videos. IUOE Local 12 SoCal baby!
Very interesting. Nice work.
18 minutes spent for nothing. I did it and I'm happy.
I like it, you have my thumb up.
Fantastic time lapse 👍
Make this construction into a series!!!!
Brilliant video, thank you. But I'm so surprised the erectors are not double lanyarded. We'd be sacked instantly in the UK
Good video
Thanks, James!
OSHA wants their double tie-in. While walking across that boom there where multiple violations.
You zooming via 4k or two cameras? Great job.
Both... multiple cameras, some of which are 4K
We don't seem to see this kind of crane in my city these days. At the moment there are 9 gib style tower cranes around the Nottingham city centre.
They are building the government building being my office as seen on my channel, apartments and a new shopping centre (mall)
cool video
Hey. Would you do a tour of the inside of hospital since it's all completed now.
You can see some of the lobby areas in the video for Weeks 240-244... that's about all I can do, unfortunately... I don't have any authority or permission to do anything else, and I can't imagine that they would ever allow recording in patient areas.
Are you going to follow this til the end
Unfortunately not, was just there for a visit.
@@HospitalConstruction thanks for your video. Tears in my eyes to see it.( of joy)
This will be apt's and condo's no one can afford in San Diego.
There seems to be a lot of people on the right angle of the triangular parking lot at the top, is that a food vendor?
Edit: my bandwidth and monitor only allows me 1080 max so can't tell
I live here and no it's just the homeless and drug addicts. This is from 2019
Good
Is either one of these juckoff tied off in any way at all?
That was Bigge Tower Crane.
When is your next video
What is the point of wearing a safety harness 6-00 if you don't use it.
He is wearing it.
Are you serious ?
@@jeffreyloftus3617 there's a cable that runs all the way to the tip of the Jib, the riggers get to connect the harnesses to it. In my opinion: they have very well defined relationship with the altitude of the job.
When he climbs down to assist another rigger at 6-00 minutes he has not attached the harness and there is nothing to stop him falling to his death if something goes wrong , it is irresponsible and a clear sacking offence
@@jeffreyloftus3617 you have a good point on that, personally: I call them Crazy by climbing to the crane. When safety is not followed, accident is inevitable. For the most part... they get my respect for the job they perform.

Tower crane
Maybe a truck driving school??
Could be!
It looks like a city transit station next door.
The light rail station in the background. timesofsandiego.com/politics/2019/04/20/crews-install-giant-81-ton-girders-for-trolley-flyover-in-rose-canyon/ridges beam placement for transit
Who picked the music???? Yeah you're fucking fired......
