I am also a construction worker. But I have not worked at works like this. Your video is very good and helpful to me. Thank you wishing you lots of health
wathing this series makes me realize how much prep work for materials is done off-site and I can not even imagine how much coordination and administrative work it takes behind the scenes to get everything scheduled right to flow in order.
Utterly fascinating. Got a good laugh with the jiggling vid watching the guy running the jumping jack. And yes, that's exactly how they feel when you are running one...toe protection over the shoes is a first for me.
Hello H C, another great video showing that it is coming together. It was very busy as always. The crane shots gave us an idea how busy it was and all credit to the operator for keeping his concentration at 100%. Slowly but surely the concrete pour begins in stages. Great work and thanks for sharing. The site is keeping up with the medical checks so I hope everyone including all at H C continues to stay safe 😷
I'm going back to week 1 and compare to week 13 and be like wow! Back at week 13 ,That's progress but I'm sure they are on week 18 currently i look forward to that its a great thing you film ahead so you never get behind
Another great editing job. Love the rammer and the target acquisition pieces. Also great shots of using shotcrete on the outside walls. I've never seen that done. I understand the interest in getting in the crane, but I vote against the inserts. They don't seem worthwhile to me and feel a little intrusive to me, even though there's not much of interest in that corner of the view.
Hey CW - Yeah, I was trying to find some way to fit the crane in, because I know some people miss it. But the general consensus by the majority so far seems to be to leave it out. Easier for me to leave it out. We'll see!
These videos seem incomprehensibly complex to me. Like watching a large ant colony or wasp nest. So many people working on so many different things - from the crane operator, to the guys climbing rebar, to the sweepers and traffic directors. Mesmerizing. I'd love to learn how all this is organized & tasks laid out.
Also what was that under right front corner where they compacting the fill. Looked like electric vault, the other night didnt they pull some transformers out of it after hours.
I clicked "like" as soon as I saw the reference to the Bat'leth xDDDDD (although I was going to click "like" anyway). Thank you for sharing these videos! I don't know why, but I love watch them!! Regards from Spain
What's going on with the underground utility vault at the lower right corner? at 14:25 they removed what looks like several large transformers. I never saw them replaced before they covered the vault up again. At 36:55 they put in some small pieces of equipment, but nothing that would replace the transformers, I'd think.
I have no definite knowledge, not having any connection to the project. But this is my guess. The old building that was there before got its power from that location (you can see it during the demolition over on my "Hotel Demolition" channel). I suspect the new building will be getting its power from the left side somewhere, since there was no evidence of any power going in on the lower right when the concrete was poured. I suspect they were removing old equipment no longer needed since the old building was demoed. I have seen some old (probably obsolete) plans for the new building that show a room marked "transfer switch" over on the left, side so I suspect the power will be coming in from the left side, perhaps in one of those places they've been digging up the street. Just a guess on my part.
Also, those transformers may have been utility owned and removed since they were no longer needed. The new building transformers may be inside the basement of the new building with high voltage lines coming in from the street. They may also have been removed because they contained old hazardous materials like lead lined cables or pcb transformer oil.
@@HospitalConstruction Transfer switch may refer to the proposed location of what is known as an ATS, or Automatic Transfer Switch, that handles cut out of commercial utilities and cut in of a backup power generator during power outages. That would typically be located with the rest of the electrical line gear. Something like Senior living would very likely include that due to potential need of emergency power for medical monitoring gear for the residents, power for the lights and elevators, etc.
Love your work and thank you for all your hard work. Tower crane maybe every couple of weeks for a quick shot. I wouldn't miss it though. Loved the acquiring target incert. Did you get that from the contractor? Compactor jiggle was fun but a little too long, I got dizzy.
My favourite songs are; ‘To be me 3’ and ‘Trouble comes’, although I haven’t heard the latter for a few weeks. The music adds a real something (je ne sais quois?)to the video.
They flush it out, either back into the last concrete truck, or into plastic "swimming pools" or sometimes flat metal bins and then the leftovers are discarded. In some prior episodes all of those approaches were visible.
By the way, the sawing the street it's(week 13) called coring and that was for the main water line and gas hydro and so forth so you know. No big deal...!!! You doing an awesome job with the video shoot.
good video. I think it would be important to show in more detail the work that is done in construction. When we watch time lapse videos, 1 minute is enough, 45 minutes is a lot. I should mix it with video of close-up work.
My guess, and I do not have a construction background, it all concrete. I make this guess because if steel were going to be used, they would use from the start.
I wondered about that too. They are using that only on the outside walls. They are forming all the interior walls. Must be cheaper, but it doesn't look like it.
He has had some raw videos a few years back where he was filming some iron workers working in real time, maybe he will do that again we will see hopefully, either way I'm enjoying these videos im a construction man my my self i grossed $92,500 last year as a union plumber in these high rises in beautiful downtown Los Angeles
I watched your first series and waved some criticism, even though in this series you have made fewer mistakes yet still seem to trial off subject. My only honest criticism would to ask you to stay on the task of construction. You have a channel and could easily edit or cover social issues/events and post them separately. Also stick to a single filter, it my sound picky, but it does hurt the eyes (particularly when your color blind.) I actually at one time asked the wife if there was something wrong with my device. Last and again an opinion, but could you remove the crane shot? In all, I really do enjoy your channel and do look forward the next episode,
«I hope you enjoyed this episode...» - Sorry, but not. I already wanted to ask you stop using this crazy filters if i see that on this one here. But you improved yourself and adding strobo (which mostly using for stabilisation of course). I catch that for a half of second, and that was enough to stress my eyes for half a hour, until they stop jumping. Be more loyal please. If you try to learning or get research and experiments (on using filters), make that not for mass public please. There was a reason why no one use that things in movies. But to be clarify, that things very popular in medicine, for stressing eyes or brain to catch problems. - Thanks for video. And thanks for understanding. I'll try to complete that video later.
what is wrong with me been watcing this allnight here in 2024 for the last 8 hours lol

Another video for the best construction channel on RUclips keep up the great work 👍
concrete pump tower is genius!
12:29 I like how you include everyone from sweepers to the coordinator and so forth.👏
I’m glad you were there when the captain ordered ramming speed! Armor-like toe shields on that operator!
Utterly fascinating. Got a good laugh with the jiggling vid watching the guy running the jumping jack. And yes, that's exactly how they feel when you are running one...toe protection over the shoes is a first for me.
Who else got dizzy watching the ramming end’s viewpoint 🤪

I lost it at the "rammer head view". I needed that laugh.
Thumbs down on tower crane inset

39:39 this pigeon has a birds eye view of all the action 🐦🐦
28:45 love the video editing, really gives you the shakes 😊
that was cool effect on the jumping jack, switching perspective.
Also what was that under right front corner where they compacting the fill. Looked like electric vault, the other night didnt they pull some transformers out of it after hours.
The 'swingset' reveal reminded me of Raiders of the Lost Ark when Toht brings out the hanger for his overcoat.
Love your time-lapse ive watched them all thank you

qatlho' ! (Although I understand true Klingons almost never say that.)
funny edits! Loved the hammer thing you did!! :)

Yeah I think I'll join you next week. 😁
Love these videos 👍
Enjoyed as always
Are they making a parking garage. Its tuff to tell. Keep up the great work
Supposedly a retirement home.
It would be great if your footage gave that "Artist" the recognition he needs. If you know what I mean!!!
Great video my friend, ty
thank you! very great!
When will you install the other cameras for more views?
The stamper machine was good. That's a hard job if your into having your arms and torso vibrating for 20 min after. Lol
смотрю с первого эпизода :) это подписка и лайки всегда, однозначно...
спасибо за видео и удачи!
28:33 lol! Keep us on our toes
The jumping jack montage hurt my brain.
Then go and visit a hospital.
My favourite songs are; ‘To be me 3’ and ‘Trouble comes’, although I haven’t heard the latter for a few weeks. The music adds a real something (je ne sais quois?)to the video.
Nice effects at 26:40
You need an Epilipsy warningon screen just before you start playing with stabilizing filters on that rammer. Was very close to setting me off.
Point taken. I'll keep that in mind.
@@HospitalConstruction Otherwise, awesome as usual. Thanks for listening.
What happens to all the concrete left in the long tube from the pumping tower and from the concrete pump near the delivery truck for that matter.
You can see the pump truck sometimes empty the pipe back into the delivery truck. I didn't see what the tower did.
They flush it out, either back into the last concrete truck, or into plastic "swimming pools" or sometimes flat metal bins and then the leftovers are discarded. In some prior episodes all of those approaches were visible.
@@HospitalConstruction Thanks for info.
32:06 Они накрыли припаркованную машину, чтобы не испачакать!
43:50 Cancel everything. back to the caves back to the spears back to stone axes Life was so simple then and short too...
I wanna be a rammer operator in 22nd century :D cool

very nice video, on which road is the building made?
This is at the corner of Van Ness Avenue and O'Farrell Street in San Francisco. Van Ness is at the bottom of the picture.
@@carldaniel6510 thanks my friend !!!
The street in the foreground is Van Ness Ave.
43:41 a stupid action by these city residents with the cars - there is already enough particulate matter and CO2 in the air
What's the tamping ram do exactly?
It compacts the soil so it won't settle under the concrete sidewalk and cause it to crack.
super.
USA elevator shaft, Europe lift shaft 😉😁
I wonder if this building is all concrete or going to put steel farming
My guess, and I do not have a construction background, it all concrete. I make this guess because if steel were going to be used, they would use from the start.
LOL 24:47
Do what does that second floor sheeting connect to ?
47:00
hopes and prayers
👍 👍 👍

26:40 “jumping jack”
Fragarbai yeah that’s what we call it here in the Southwest US states, they called it a whacker when I was working in Georgia.
Week 13 thumbs Up . But I still Miss all that beautiful Dirt.
Why use shotcrete instead of a mold??
I wondered about that too. They are using that only on the outside walls. They are forming all the interior walls. Must be cheaper, but it doesn't look like it.
"Cancel rent", more money for gas... :-(
28:25 starting to 🤮

The demonstrators are all part of the flavour of this construction and adds to the video, in my opinion.
