    About two years ago I bought a 6-inch minisluice with a mini dream mat and its results were so good that I decided to buy a mixed dream mat made up of a 1/4-inch micro dream, mat, 3/8-inch minidream mat and 1/2 inch mini dream mat.
    Forgive me if I don't know its nomenclature but I have to say that where those rugs are, the other rugs can be removed. These pocket microsluices can be assembled several in series and thus you have less chance of losing gold, but yes, you have to feed them with a coffee spoon. It is rather a way to keep the children entertained looking for their own gold. Greetings from Girona, Catalonia.

    I just bought a 12"x36" dream mat. In the box they included the mini sluice for free. I thought it was just a novelty item. Pretty cool to see you put it into use.

    Besides the gold looking good the review on the mini sluice was well worth it especially for people like myself, would like to get my hand on one of them as you say Gold catcher.

    They have one of these on ninja sluice box.Inside a banjo pan that sticks out the side of a plastic bucket and has a classifier 1/8 all items fit in bucket that has a stand and pump most of the gold stay in the pale and never riches this.But I imagine their some places it will

  • @robertwolfe2971
    @robertwolfe2971 2 года назад +1

    I would experiment with some of the different mats inside the pale of the ninja sluice box.as I don't like miners moss and believe theirs easier mats avalible but most of the gold get tangled up in the miners moss and no telling how long it would take to get it out.

    Well I finally got one! And it's a great value, but you need to have the right situation, but with winter coming I plan to use it at low current, and run my hand held suction dredge contents through it, as well as indoor recirculating clean up, nothing to write back east about but I like it, thank you for the detailed review! Cheers DD!

    It works great for testing areas in a creek, do you don't have to fill a pan up and pan all that dirt out. This is much faster and efficient for testing more areas sooner and more efficiently.

    So, it may defeat the pocket aspect of your operation out in the field, but at home why rely on water alone to move your gravels and sands?
    Mount a vibrator on the sluice box, turn the water down just enough over the riffles to take advantage of the specific gravity of gold compared to sands(Just a trickle is really all that's needed), and flatten out the grade of the box as well. Just the tiniest bit of grade should be enough to move sands and not gold
    Mount a rheostat to adjust vibration so gold doesn't move, but sands do, and look to this effect...minute 5:14 in video
    ruclips.net/video/lXknqxaYgPY/видео.html
    I think a much slower setting on vibrator (Here) would achieve what we're looking for.
    Myself, I'm mounting box long magnetic sheets (Truck door Signs) well above the riffle and sands, but low enough to affect the weight of the Magnetite sands without touching them.

    Good review, looks like those little things are pretty efficient at capturing the gold.

      I was half expecting to have to run the dirt a couple times. If you have to run the dirt more then once the product is no good for use in the wild IMO. That it did so well catching the gold on the first pass changed my mind. These little guys put in work!

    There's a guy on you tube that claims he is only getting 80% out of the dream mat and he has tried everything he says. From what I have seen the capture rates a re just amazing if you know what you are doing.
    Great video thanks

    I thought about getting 1 micro and the other one. Cutting off the intake part of the larger cell one and melting them together. Making a recirculating system for my river cons. Really like that way u used that small tub to feed the water. I'm in the process planning out my project and that gonna def be in there. I have the adventure sluice already prob use that si I got alittle more room to put material in. Like I said though love that feeder tub instead of a header

    • @BackYardProspecting
      @BackYardProspecting  2 года назад

      Cons shouldn't need to go over a mini cell. Once you're down to cons you're prob working with sub 1/4" material anyhow. The micro is more then capable. If anything I'd just get a 6x16 micro or make something around the 3x8" banjopan mat

    I bought some dirt, and I bought a mat. Was wondering what a recommended flow rate for the mini mat would be. I understand the pitch should be 10-15 degrees, yes?

    • @BackYardProspecting
      @BackYardProspecting  2 года назад +1

      You got it. Depending on what flow you have to work with 10-15 is good. Prob wanna be closer to 10. Flow rate over a mini pocket prob around 3-400 gph. But always give your self the ablity to down turn either by a regulated dc pump or a valve if you're using an ac pump.

    • @mymonopolychannel
      @mymonopolychannel 2 года назад +1

      @@BackYardProspecting I'll have to hope the 200 GPH will do (for now). 200 gallons seemed like it would be more than enough when I ordered it. Fingers crossed! My paydirt is pretty fine, no big stuff (not even pebbles), so I may be okay. I still have to figure out a rig to put all this together, as well; stealing ideas from all the youtube prospectors. ;)
      I'll post a video if I have any success. Thanks for responding!

    What do you think of running two pocket sluice stacked front to back 🤔 do you think it would be better?

    • @BackYardProspecting
      @BackYardProspecting  3 года назад +3

      Nahh now you're getting overly complicated. If you're looking to go that route then you might rather have a couple of their Banjo Pan mats instead that you can put into a longer sluice body. Or just get a full size micro and build something on a 6"er like I use. I've learned the hard way that once you start to cobble together stuff. That maybe there might be something else that will provide a more elegant and functional solution rather then save 7 bucks.

      But there made from hard plastic in Australia, and they can join together like a snake, a couple of plastic bolts poking out sideways on the top sluice and some discreet holes at the top of the flare, and they still pack up pocket size. You could join as many as you want, all at different angles. I made a bigger flare for the top one too, a bit more water and bigger feed zone👌👍🇦🇺

      Groomer rainbow imagery? Do you feel strange urges when you use your dreammat? If you mean my jokes, Well this channel isn't for children. I smoke weed and swear a lot. I also love morally compromised big breasted women. I never meet any, but I love the idea they are out there. Waiting for me...
