IMO, all the hype Axelsen did with the crowd is perfectly fine. There's nothing wrong with some interactions with the crowd when you know for sure you are going to win. Most athlete doesnt do it since it takes their focus out the game, a rare few relish in the shout of the crowd. Showmanship, no matter your own opinion about it, makes the game more fun. However, that last serve crossed the line, play with the crowd all you want, but never should you belittle your opponent.
People in the comments calling anything "unsportsmanlike" upsets me. Anyone at all, please explain to me how these behaviours are "unsportsmanlike" 1) Making an extra-low serve because of the service judge's call a few points ago 2) raising his arms after winning (every) point (?????? how is that unsportsmanlike???) 3) hyping the crowd, being celebratory of his play And explain. Use reasoning. Not verbal attacks, not detracting from the topic, not using sarcasm that doesn't even make a point. Thank you
Asians are just too soft. That kind of behavior is nothing in western sports like tennis or if Lee Zi jia or LCW did it, they will be very pleased about it.
@@nicadinamling6597 having played an actual sport or not has nothing to do with being able to understand what "unsportsmanlike" means. He's right you know, ppl are just too brittle and get butthurt pretty easily. Axelsen did not do anything unsportsmanlike in this game.

I think it's bc he lost to Shi yuqi yesterday, in an interview afterwards he said he was disappointed and hoped he could play better today, so maybe that's why today he played a bit disrespectful
He actually tries to use his cardio to win games. This works in the earlier stages of tournaments but the problem is that he isn't actually fit enough to sustain these long matches so by the later stages in tournaments, he has no energy left. The last serve did Axelsen differentiate in terms of height with Naraoka?
No it's because the service judge said his serve was too high a couple of points before, so he's trying to prove a point that his serve is fine.
