In game 2, I totally forgot about Iron Bundle, which would have helped me knock out the Dreepy on my first turn and basically end the game. 🤦♂️ I could have also used Iron Bundle on the 2nd turn to take out Drakloak and basically end the game 🤦♂️ 🤦♂️
Jett, have you considered adding timestamps to your videos? I often start watching and then need to rewatch to get to the match part. I’d suggest something simple, like: introduction, match 1 (vs deck X), match 2 (vs deck Y)
I find having 1-2 future booster energy capsules in the deck for giving to iron hands or thorns a super useful tool for letting those 4 cost retreats float around or be a free pivot :)
Funnily enough the new zeraora can dunk a palkia, squak etc and swing for 240 with only 5 pokemon on their bench (w weakness) i added it in case of mimikyu. Though ive got a couple niche attackers that help against cornerstone/mimikyu stall and been on a rampage
Game 1 looked like it was a lot closer than it was supposed to be, right? On turn 3 when you ended up getting trapped for two straight turns, I think you had lethal on Roaring Moon/Fez if you simply put the second Egen energy on Mewtwo and hard retreated into the first Raikou that was set up to attack. There were 10 benched for a gross 220 damage, PLUS the 10 from Zapdos, giving you a perfect 230 total. Looked like a miss on the perfect swing for two prizes that ended up making the game much closer than it likely needed to be! Let me know if I'm missing something, it's a deck with a lot of tricks for sure
When Mewtwo got trapped the 2nd time, I was out of Switch Cart and Rescue Board was prized. I attached an energy from hand to Mewtwo. On their next turn, they gusted up the Zapdos. I shouldn’t have benched the Zapdos, but I don’t see where there was an opportunity after the second trap to attach a second energy to Mewtwo before they gusted up Zapdos.
Most of my games are played live on Twitch where I lose in front of the whole world all the time :) www.twitch.tv/inthirdperson I do put losses in my videos where possible, but it’s tough. Viewers want to see the deck work and thus it leans towards most RUclipsrs posting way more wins than losses. I generally incorporate losses if the match was entertaining, competitive, and if there’s something viewers can learn from.
I literally hate playing against Miraidon it’s soooo annoying against my Regidrago deck and my dragapult deck. Regi likes to go first so letting Miraidon go second i would constantly lose the regi i was starting to charge up in just one hit then they’d switch and bring it back in to take out my second regi or ogerpon. Dragapult i always seem to struggle as all those bulky ex mons don’t die with one hit and switch cart always heals any damage counters then they boss my dreepy or pidgey then amp me very much my pidgeot for 3 prizes lol. I hate this deck almost as much as raging bolt

Happens to the best of us, the good old college Punt (tm)
I started playing ptcgl last week and your videos are so helpful to understand the game and it's decks
keep up the good work
Welcome to the Pokemon TCG! And thanks for watching!

and showing a decklist would be great, hard to build the deck while he scrolls up and down when explaining the stuff

Would you be willing to share the attackers you use for Mimikyu, cornerstone etc? They're the ones I'm struggling with in my Miraidon deck

@@InThirdPerson I realize now I didn't understand electric generator, I did not realize it was only benched pokemon. My mistake!
great vid! have a deck based on jesse parker's build, but have thinking about snagging the new pieces that glenn bauwens showed off
the list on the description looks like a Dragapult deck, did I miss something?
Fixed!
I've just started using miraidon ex with regileki vmax I didn't know it got all this new stuff
Regieleki VMAX got dropped from meta Miraidon decks in the summer of 2023. Sneakertalk TCG I think is the only one still running Regieleki VMAX.
this may sound dumb but do you ever lose? some times I feel like I go on a losing streak just have crappy hands.

Can you redo this deck now with pikachu and magneton? Thanks
It’s on the list!
What about Latias Ex : your pokemon has no retreat cost ?
This video was made a month before the release of Latias ex. When I get around to making an updated Miraidon video, Latias will most likely be there.
