Oh this is wonderful!! I'm getting back into Sarracenia just now too. Ha, we're on the same page. I know I feel like I'm betraying Nepenthes sometimes. But it's ok we love them all and Sarracenias deserve our attention they are beautiful and cool in a different way. I hope to one day get an S. black widow because from the pics I've seen it reminds me of my character Scary Fear. He's black and the lid is all wavy like his dendrites and he has that shaped mouth when he opens though as you know he's also got overtones on N. ramispina. I'd love it if you commented on my video called 2nd bog garden. I've made two mini bogs. Love yours.
Awesome plants, awesome hybrids, awesome video 👍 but is there any more freaky-awesome sarracenia specialist than Mike King in the UK??? Man, this guy and his collection, unbelievable. He's doing an open day, I think twice a year, not sure, but if someone has a chance to get there it's definitely worth it. Just awesome. Cheers
@@redleafexotics4722 That is great! Because I to love sarracenia species. One last question what would you say a great starter Nepenthes is for an affordible price? because I don't wanna spend 40 bucks and have it die. and goodluck selling sarracenia you're expanding your collection and website.
@@TJPlays744 Although the question wasn't meant for me, I am going to give you a tip:D. For example if you live in a cooler climate(15-25°C during the summer ) I suppose a good choise will be Sarracenia purpurea. If you are in a hotter one, the other types like S. Flava or S. Leucophilla will be great. Usually Sarracenias are very easy to take care of and you can hardly go wrong with them. I hope I helped you!
I live in Birmingham & would love to visit your space someday! I grow Sarracenia & am glad to see you catch a little of the S fever. If you want to do a great day trip, you should visit the Splinter Hill Bog in late August. It’s an amazing natural area.
Dale Schaefer you can totally come on by! Just call us a day or two before To schedule. Thanks for the info! I’ve been looking for blogs around here! Dom
