- A new witness is coming forward to say he encountered Laundrie drinking alone at a restaurant in Montana on Aug. 26 - the night before Gabby Petito was last seen alive. United by grief, Petito’s mother, father and stepfather also spoke at the press conference - the first time publicly since the 22-year-old travel blogger was found dead in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. The family also showed reporters new tattoos on their arms dedicated to and designed by Petito.
I really hope that random people aren’t just simply giving false or unsure tips just to get a few seconds in front of a camera. Any bad tip can mislead the search even further.

The parents didn’t deny helping him. Look at the statement closely. They deny knowing where he is RIGHT NOW. And they deny helping Brian to evade the arrest warrant. But that warrant was issued AFTER the Laundrie’s took their little camping trip and reported Brian missing. So if (when?) it comes out that they helped Brian go on the lam they can say that Brian wasn’t wanted for a crime at that time.

It’s so crazy how we deal with the passing of a loved one. Looking for any sign really gives us that glimmer of hope that they’re still with us. My heart hurts for gabbys family.

I caught that, too, but it could have been misreported. Not even 20 minutes ago, I watched another clip (from a FL news station) that reported the 8th.

@@alisong7120 It's very easy to get emotionally invested, but you don't need to make yourself sick over it. Most places will report the same information. I'm not telling you what to do by any means, but I do have a suggestion- Try limiting yourself. Maybe only watch 1-2 videos from FL stations every 6-8 hours (if they have similar titles, they have similar content), and the same with NY stations, or wherever else.
I've created a private playlist here on RUclips for the case. I place videos I've watched in it, as well as ones I'm tempted to watch (but they likely have repeat info). It helps keep me "in the know," but at a safe distance.

On the 48 Hours episode from last Saturday, a store clerk at a tourist shop in Idaho said Gabby and Brian came in for milkshakes. She said she was talking to Gabby and then Brian came up to them. She said Brian reminded Gabby that they were engaged and actually stood there until she mentioned it to the store clerk. It sounded like a creepy encounter.
He’s safer in a cell or a ditch at this point. Way too many people want to get their hands on him. He’ll turn himself in soon.
People keep talking about "closure" for this young lady's parents and family. Yes, they of course want to know what happened to their dear daughter and the person responsible to be held fully accountable. But closure? Closure implies some kind of over and done, but the reality is you never have closure when you have outlived a child.
There’s no closure for grief.
The sick part is who ended her life

Why would the parents even go on a camping trip with him for 3 days while Gabby did not return with him back on the 1st? Then he left their home without his phone or wallet? They waited from Tuesday until Friday to let authorities know he did not come home, meanwhile they had picked up his car at the camp ground they have been searching a day or two before? It all stinks!
That camp trip was a dropping point for Brain, he was there and went somewhere else. Someone has to be helping him with food and basic needs he can’t pull all this alone

I may be wrong, but, personally, I think that it would have something to do with evidence. Evidence that his family aided him in his escape, actual proof like a phone call, email or texts, something that would say that they involved themselves in his plan to flee. Since it would have to go to trial, the prosecutor has to have something to go off of.

As much as the world hates his parents right now, it appears his mom has been battling cancer and it makes me hate him even more thinking of him putting her through this.
