    Dick Tracy- Private Investigators
    Jane - Pilot
    Walters- Engineer
Some random stings and sounds are my own composition, the ones which aren't are:
opening song: "The Black Cat" by Aaron Kenny.
Closing song, and during the monologue: "Spirit Of The Dead" by Aakash Gandhi

Whoa! In my opinion this quote is just... just plain wrong. In Call of Cthulhu there are no 'heroes'. You can find bloodthirsty cultists, regular people not aware of impending doom, or the ones that will end as a snack for some crawling abomination or rotting feast for maggots, because they misspelled one letter in 6 hour ritual. If they are less lucky some insane asylum will be place of their demise, after long years of rambling about the things that lurk in darkness. You know, there hasn't been a dull moment in ANY of these Call of Cthulhu stories you've told us so far, and I'm desperately twitching to do some Call of Cthulhu stuff again myself. This video is the final push for me to finally awaken and walk the earth once again, twisting reality around me as I unearth the ancient mysteries of this world. Mysteries best left forgotten, as my group of investigators delve deeper than they should as unstoppable events rush over them as if they were just pebbles at the bottom of the stream.
Or they could possibly prove themselves to be rocks that divert the flow of these events, but never to stop it. History demands that these evils become unleashed - unbound by the stars to wreak havoc upon the unsuspecting inhabitants of the earth. They cannot stop it, they may only delay the inevitable. For history abhors a paradox.
Melodrama aside, my creative slump is now an escalator. Thank you for the video!

    • @mitchellslate1249
      @mitchellslate1249 3 года назад

Well no not a strong liklihood. There is no such thing as probable first off, second actually people still dont get hit all that much or every time a bullet wizzes, inside or outside, regardless of how much penetration there is, which is dependent on a lot of things, including the number of walls, studs, blocking objects like sinks and such, and just plain old dirtit hits outside.
Though that is a notable risk to keep in mind in RPGs for sure. Will have to remember it on my list of other accuracy and missing and hitting things I have to worry about for my developing system. Thanks for the reminder of more work...
Although I just need to know where the bullet went, the rest is trajectory and substances or persons in the way, so no more than the work we were already doing?
Always be careful and avoid the false criticism of Story and Storytelling. I have seen people complain about bullets being stopped by cars in movies when in life and in this Primary World we live in they go right through. But in our world the bullet fails to pierce a padlock, and is deflected by something so small and fragile looking with parts assembled, where in the Story World, the Seconday World, they break the lock. Human intuition and flawed understanding of our own world is normal and bound to leave us ignorant and mistaken. It passes over into our creation of Secondary Art and a Secondary World of Story. The only real difference which is critical is that for Story it still doesnt matter...Belief in the Story is about the Story's World and the Story's Reality and Realism, its own Facts and Laws of Nature, Truth, Reality, and Intrinsic Existence, what is True there, that we enjoy of its Art, its Nature, its Beauty, and World and Reality itself, and not "mistakes" concerning the Reality that is not real at all in the Story World.
J.R.R. Tolkien, and his essay, On Fairy Stories. I recommend it. We spent years proving this reminder again and again. The difference and total and complete seperation of Our World from the Story World, the Primary Truth and Reality from the Secondary Truth and Reality we Subcreate in the Image of the First.
Also, locks can be shot off, and maybe an older lock it was easier to do so, as has been joked before, but it depends on the gun, or number of rounds, and the lock, regardless. There are incidents of a police vehicle being riddled and shot up inside and out by an attacker and neither occupant being harmed whatsoever. I used to say a blasterfight may be closer to muskets mixed with machine guns, but later on we realized the kind of crazy missing and hitting happens all the time in gun fights in Our World and Reality.

Yeah, having your campaign take place in the 1920's can be a pain to write for in regards to the technology at that time unless you do your research. There were so many technical innovations and inventions between the 1930's-1950's, it'd be like someone in the year 2120 making a tabletop seetting take place in the 1990's and putting in things like smartphones, major media websites like RUclips/Twitter/ect., face-timing, drones, ect.
The person of today might think confusing those things as being culturally relevant in the 90's as a dumb mistake, but I bet the people who were born in the 1920's/1930's would say the same about people who think things live TV's, microwaves, and tape recorders were common place in that time too.
Edit: Fun little tidbit, I was originally going to put "Flashlights" on the list of things people might confuse as being common place in the 1920's, but then I looked it up and guess when Flashlights were invented? 1899. So, yeah, Flashlights would probably be an easily obtainable thing in the 1920's. Go figure.

But yeah, I'm currently running a oneshot set in otctober of 1985 and had to do my fair share of research for it as well (for example, I had to stretch the fact a bit, that the PCs were able to examine a PC with windows runnning on it, because the first iteration of windows where in stores in december of 1985...)

In the original version, the Stranger monster can't go into the main room of the house, but will likely kill any characters leaving the premises. I'd highly recommend using it to get someone into Call of Cthulhu, and this was a adaptation!
