  • As wildfires in California continue to break records for size, a debate has formed between the lumber industry and environmentalist groups about how best to limit fires.

    Grass burns much faster and also extinguishes much quicker than trees. Grass is not the overall problem. It’s the standing dead trees. When a forest is 90 percent dead, it’s much more dangerous than patches of grass.

    It is clear, select cut and sensible logging PREVENTS FOREST FIRES!
    A healthy forest often has wildfires and we have been prevented this from naturally occurring. The debris adds up and lights the tree canopies on fire, creating mega fires.

      I take it this guy don't understand that if we kill off all the grass. That will have much more of a ecological impact than thinning a few trees. No grass= no animals 🤔
