The game not only had to register all the hits that should've happen, there was also an enormous amount of knockback that should be calculated for every hit. The numbers THERE go even crazier because you can theoretically deal infinite amount of damage (It just kills you no matter the health and resists duh), but infinite velocity is hard. The player has to MOVE in that direction, the game must CALCULATE HOW FAR should the player go, and it's not just the bounding box, THE HITBOXES HAVE TO MOVE AS FAST. And by the time it all calculated from some of the hits, parry goes further than just melee and new parries come which the game HAS TO calculate AGAIN. You can be infinitely powerful, but you can't be infinitely fast.

@@6lbs._onion It's because melee attacks aren't actually melee in source. They're short range hit-scan bullets, I believe. So you can parry melee attacks. But when both melee attacks are parryable AND can parry... You can see the issue of how many parrys that would cause withn a single second.
To explain the issue, as best I can, melee is treated similarly to firing a gun, just very small range. So because they swung simultaneously, they deflected each other's melees, causing an infinite chain reaction.

It's an amazing bot killer, especially since bots shoot as soon as possible, which makes parrying a breeze. Besides that it's an amazing unlockable which could really give Heavy some more utility in fights.
Honestly, yeah. The heavy is the most vulnerable to sniper, and in fights, you can have this out anyway unless you're memeing. This and metal gloves would really make snipers pick the correct time to shoot heavy.

I love how the force of two knockback-inducing heavies hitting each other created a singularity so powerful, the server crashed.
Pretty sure it was a memory leak from the parry function not being able to occur when it has to, or it occurring rapidly between 2 heavies.
