Satellite images have captured scenes of thousands of people packed into the airport in Afghanistan’s capital as US military planes and a Turkish airliner prepared to depart. The gate, runway and areas surrounding Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul were in chaos as crowds desperately tried to board aircraft. At least seven people were reported to have died in the chaos.

It’s not a regular airport like you see in the US. It’s a military base essentially that’s why regular people had to breach the gate. Airport is run and operated by the US military.

This reminds me of that scene from World War Z when Brad was heading towards the aircraft after Jerusalem was over run by zombies. Not that I'm amazed, in fact this is heartbreaking. This clearly shows that the people of Afghanistan are afraid of the Talibans and are desperate to escape.
They don't represent Afghanistan.Dignitaries have fled, and ordinary citizens will not be liquidated by the Taliban. Now people who desperately want to escape at the airport are the traitors who abandoned Afghanistan and took refuge in the United States.
Unfortunately, they are not high enough. Now it's America's turn to abandon them.

The most important thing is the mindset. No matter how much US supported billions of dollars to Afghan government, as they are corrupted and no patriotic mindset, the country falls back to Taliban just within a few months. A great lesson learn for the whole world.

The US should have carried out a phased evacuation before declaring it out of Afghanistan. And defended Kabul until the last personnel were evacuated. You don't need to be president or commander-in-chief of the military to understand this.

Has anyone noticed or commented in these clips there are virtually no women, only young able bodied men ?
There may be two reasons for that. First one is that the majority of these people fleeing are men who either worked for the old Afghan govt or the army, so they're fleeing because they're gonna be branded as traitors by the taliban and punished. The other reason may be that these men simply overpowered the women and got there first if they're really that desperate to flee.
Who said human civilization can leave this planet and gonna begin space travel and live somewhere else. Like seriously .

I feel bad for them on the other hands, 20 years of US administration has made them weaker and if they have any efforts at all in protecting their own country, a trillion dollar and 20 years is more than enough to establish a highly patriotic warriors ready to shed blood for this day to come.
Ironically i dont blame the US. They were worse before the US occupation, the transformation they had for the past 20 years at one one point it's going to end, Afghans should have done more for their own country.
20 years isn't nearly enough. Every single young soldier fighting for a democratic Afghanistan likely has a father and grandfather trying to brainwash them into choosing Sharia and the old ways over letting girls have rights and so their dads have likely convinced them to lay down their weapons. If you think you can eradicate three generations of thought in just 20 years you are confusing humans with squirrels, it would take around 50 years for the generations who want to stick to the old ways to die off.

the first time i watched the escape sequences in the movie World War Z i got so amazed and thought how brilliant the writer and director of the movie was to put that into a movie. but when i saw the clips of Afghans clinging on the side of the plane in desperation to flee the country and fall to their deaths; was just goosebumps all over 😱

These pics are from Reuters and Maxar Technologies so I doubt these are chinese satelites. Nontheless it ks remarkable that satelites are able to do this nowadays.
