I forgot to mention that the LED bulbs used in the video are also 35W (same as OEM) so they shouldn't draw any additional power. You could opt for one with a higher output for better brightness, but I thought that this would be a more fair comparison. 35W: amzn.to/3KXa6Pu
Turning the steering wheel outwards gives good room to change headlights & turn signals for anyone planning on doing this without wanting to take off wheel
Just installed these. Thanks for the rec man. Previous owner had the Osram D1S 35W HID bulbs on. Literal night and day difference compared to these. Didn’t even have to take my wheels off. Just turned the steering wheel to full lock on opposite sides.
Thanks for the video. I have a pre-LCI M2 so it has the same headlights. I wanted to do a LCI headlight swap but people on Bimmerpost says it’s a PITA. I’ll probably just switch the bulbs and re-watch this video when doing it.
brighter as they’re illegal, not that it matters, i have them. And let’s say wider and further or higher as the light leaks a bit. not designed for a xenon set up
You mean high beams too bright to use and the beam not sharp like OE? Also, how is visibility with regular beams for up close objects on the road? Overall, you like these better?@Brian-jv8iy
Led lights needs less power than halogen lights so if the lights are still coded in halogen lights the car will think that the lights are broken since they’re now using less power, and you’ll see errors. Coding it to LED mode avoids that
thanks man i never know about this but my led producer tell me their product use decoder chip to aviods AFS errors maybe this questions they use the same ways to solve the power problem and i use led over 6 months its runs safe and good and never see errors @@bluelotusnanebi
@@bluelotusnanebi late to the party, but they are both 35W, still not sure why the coding tho, if both use the same power and both "digital", as not regular bulbs that have a resistance the car can measure.
Hey! It has been a while since I’ve been around your videos because I’m having a bit of a dilemma… I am tempted to upgrade because I really do love this car, but I’m just thinking about all that $ I would spend could be put aside and spent on upgrading to a stronger platform. That new M240i looks absolutely incredible! Do you think about this at all or are you totally committed to the 235?

The item description says “70W” idk if it is just me?
@@crackedpond9631 35w each for 70w total
@@crackedpond9631 the 35W per bulb specification is in the manufacturer's specifications picture. Under the product description
Link to the LED's is no longer working, would be great if it could be updated.

Thanks a lot for the idea, not sure if i'll do it right now but it's a great option when I'll have to replace my Xenon bulbs.
Do you have to code it
Even with the Hid it should be set in BimmerCode as LED?
Bit late to the party, ever found out anything about this?
1:21 the LED fan seems to be Really loud, can you hear it when in the car?
No. The canara was just close to it. The same settings were used when comparing the beam angle and it wasn't audible there
I just installed these. They are not audible whatsoever with the cap on. They were also nowhere near as audible as in the video when the cap is off.
I couldn't get my headlights bukd to come out even after u doing the locking mechanism
How does the high beam look compared to OEM? Brighter and same distance perhaps?

Can you put these in to replace adaptive xenons? Plug & play? Would it be worth it?
If it's a D1S then it should work. You can look at the other types they have as well.

Xenon is HID (xenon HID) just easier to say HID than to say Xenon HID. xenon is the gas used to create the light.
Can i use these LED to bmw f30?
Do I really need to code them in??
To prevent flicker, yes
i only have one question why we have codling?

tbh the 2 series has a terrible high beam. its annoying that bmw put that second lense there but dont allow us to put anything there
so, is it actually just an empty lens? i noticed F30´s do have it on, but its off on F22´s
@@402Racing yep, its annoying, like why didnt they just put a standard H7 bulb there
