Silovs has great potential, but I feel he is somewhat inconsistent so I can’t call him a Franchise goalie, though he has potential to be about a prime Mike Smith, has potential to be better though. (This is coming from an Oilers fan)
@@Venxm_Hockey Not trying to be mean but you guys need a certified number 1 i feel like skinners way too incosistent hes a good backup tho (coming from a nucks fan)
I'm an Oilers fan and tbh I love Wolf. He's an exciting rookie to watch since as you mentioned he can be pretty darn clutch when you need him to be, and when a team like the Flames doesn't usually blowup in scoring every game? They need a goalie that can shut the opposing team out. Also, he's gonna help keep the Battle of Alberta as exciting as possible, going up against our super strong forwards plus Bouchard. I definitely love a good Battle 👍
Been watching Wolf since he was drafted. Took note of how strong he was back then even when he was 5'9" Watching him this year has been a delight. Proving so many doubters wrong. Has had a couple rough nights but what goalie doesn't? I'd love to see him carry some of that strength from Home on the road, but I think that'll come with experience. At the rate he's going, he will be our long time Starter for sure. And I'm looking to it.
I’m from Abbotsford so I have seen him play lot in the ahl and every he dominated amazing saves every game this guy is going to be a stud and this is coming from a nucks fan
Sens fan here, and I have to say this guy was on my radar since his first start. He's so energetic and focused. I think he is Calgary's Number 1 already.
Flames fan from way outside the Calgary market (NY). Wolf looks great. What worries me is that his physical build reminds me of Matt Murray, though Murray's much taller, and Murray was very good when he first broke in but broke down pretty quickly, so I wonder if that will happen to Wolf. On. the other hand, Ryan Miller was very skinny also and had a nice long career, so we'll see what happens.
Minnesota Wild and Rapid City Rush fan: always liked Wolf. Because of that Echl affiliate, I always root for Calgary, and seeing him play is electric. Can't wait to see his career
I watched him play for the Stockton Heat before they relocated (AHL) probably the best goalie I’ve seen in person, hometown team goalie making it all the way to start in the NHL, fantastic
As a Oilers fan from Edm who lives in Cgy I personally love Wolf. I hope he really can be something for this team. Calgary deserves SOMETHING especially after the recent exodus.
I was a Coachella valley firebirds fan during there first season and whenever I went to a game where we were facing the Calgary wranglers so scared about that man in net. The battles between him and Joey Daccord would always be insane. Great player when he’s on your team not so fun when you’re facing him
Wolf is 0-2 vs the Sens and Vladar has never been scored on by the Sens. Only 1 game, but he got a shut out. So tonight's decision could be based on history with an Ottawa team thats found a groove.
Looking forward to an entire age of Wolf vs. Skinner in the Battle of Alberta. Last great, multi-year goalie matchup in the BoA was Kipper and Roli'. That's too long ago already.
Amazing goalie, I understand NHL teams want taller goalies but it's just sad how undersized goalies get no attention even if they prove they have the skill. Devon Levi and Dustin Wolf both barely went drafted simply for their height and look at them now
Michkov, Celebrini, AND HUTSON* Look great. The lack of consideration Hutson gets from some people is absolutely dumbfounding. The kid is only behind Michkov in rookie scoring and doing it as defenceman. He's also had a better points per game than Michkov, AS A DEFENCEMAN, since St.Louis realized it's ridiculous to keep snubbing the kid for Matheson.
@ he’s 6’. The league has just trended towards bigger and bigger goalies in the last decade and lots are 6’4”-6’6”. Saros is about the same size as wolf and he’s been very effective
@@daytonshuflita2201 Clearly you weren't on Twitter last year or many years before. There was hype around him but I saw people saying it'll never work cause he's too short. Last year when he was first brought up to cover a few games, he had some rough ones cause the Defense was leaving him out to dry All I saw were multiple people, INCLUDING FLAMES fans, saying over and over "Forever an AHL Star", "He's just too short", "It's not gonna work in today's NHL" So I've been relishing how Wolf is playing right now. Making everyone eat their words
Can always rely on you to circle back to Habs and Flames, but not necessarily what’s really going on in the league. Wish I knew the bias at the outset. Thanks for some good videos though. 👍Unsubscribed.
Wolf is going to be a franchise goalie and he's ready for the full time workload
as a canucks fan
as a flames fan i totally agree, and i also think arturs silovs gon get better and be a franchise goalie for the nucks aswell

Yes he will be after he's traded to a winning franchise

Wolf's fundamentals are insanely good
Dustin Wolf High Gloss Young Guns. Bang my line
Wolf is a stud. Saw him last time the flames played Ottawa.

my man with the brawl stars pfp
I'm an Avs fan, and the Flames are my 2nd favorite team, so I hope he continues to succeed.
Dude has an iron mentality. His warmup is absolute sauce as well
The kid has a great future if he keeps going at this rate
i think wolf is our new #1, cooley backup let’s go
Number #1 in league SA% and GAA at home
Crazy that the Everett Silvertrips had Wolf and Carter Hart. Now they have 15 year old exceptional Dupont.
I can never predict when the bruins will win 😭. Nice player summary I love these
As a Oilers fan from Edm who lives in Cgy I personally love Wolf. I hope he really can be something for this team. Calgary deserves SOMETHING especially after the recent exodus.
The Wolf got a shutout on the Stanley Cup Champions on the night of a FULL MOON!
Glad I took him in my keeper league :) Also, shout out to Celibrini and Michkov but you forgot Hutson for Calder ;)
thought the same. With Laine heating up and Lane's first goal out of the way, the floodgates could open.
@@kvetch23 For sure, pretty awesome for a 20 year old def even if only 1 goal!

Basically the same size of kipper and kipper got the veizna in brodeours era...not sure how size is such a complaint
He's a stud.
When are you going to talk about the sens turnaround
It was not Wolf against my Sens, but you can't fault the goalie for that loss.
Kid looks good
No offense but like are you ever gonna talk bout dostal

he looked amazing the night he blanked the preds
I don't like Calgary's horsehead logo but I do like their black uniforms and his goalie gear looks incredible with that set 🖤♥️💛
Fave singer on his mask, like a schoolgirl's bedroom wall
He's 22 and it's a good way to get to meet him. Post Malone or whoever that is.
Over 30 saves in all but 2 games. Nuff said
you mean about the flames D for allowing so many shots? Lol

yawn
Calder will be between michkov, celebrini, Hutson, wolf
WOLFPAC 4 LIFE
he isn't starting against linus ullmark tonight
Isn't long lasting success difficult for goalies on the short end of height? This question is coming from a short person
He’s the same size as kipper, I don’t ever remember anyone saying he was too small
