Nice to watch a realistic garage makeover! So many videos out there with huge spaces that us normal folk will never have. This is great inspiration for my next garage!
Wow, thank you! great feedback! To be honest i really struggled to buy most of the equipment, I used klarna and a credit card, it not Ideal but that's the only way I could even afford the setup! but I understand the unrealistic makeovers make you so sick! Not every one has that type of money to spend I no I don't lol
Nice work, the mobile scissor lift is an excellent addition and a great solution in any garages with height limitations, and will benefit you massively in every way. Well done fella.
The algorithm brought me here. . And I'm glad it did. Amazing to see how far you've come in 4 years such a genuine guy. Well done I look forward to seeing plenty more. Cheers Rob
My hat is off to anyone who can work in a space this compact. And here I have two huge garages, a separate two-story shop, and a barn, and think I don’t have enough room. I had to smile when he shows his first tool chest. I can still remember the day when I got mine more than 40 years ago. A couple thoughts. The SGS storage displays something I learned slowly over the years: put it on wheels. EVERYTHING. I have built more than 40 dollies for cabinets, storage shelves, heavy machine tools, and stored items like appliances. They are invaluable. At the same time, the SGS gear shows a significant drawback: the color. Countless hours have been spent trying to bring light into the space, and now the cabinetry, not to mention the floor, absorb huge amounts of that lighting. No one starts a garage rehab by painting white walls black, but all that nice cabinetry has the same effect.
wow great feedback thanks for sharing, the lift is a great addition to my garage and will help speed up the process I hope, plenty more coming, all the best!
Very nice, and great that you got it all working on solar. One tip for block walls: Give them a coat of cement wash before painting - it smooths them off and fills in some of the holes so that they're easier and quicker to paint, the paint goes much, much further and looks better in the end.
Only just found your channel thanks to the rabbit hole that is RUclips. I have to say, you are doing a great job. Every day is a school day. Keep up the great work.
Very impressive. That is the best, most practical and most interesting RUclips video on kitting out a small home garage that I’ve seen. Great work. I wish you many enjoyable and successful years working in it.
Game changer Leon. This will be massive for the channel. Been subscribed for years and never miss a video and it’s great to see you come as far as you have and you’re going to from strength to strength mate. Keep it up. This channel will blow up soon 🚗
Legend! OG subscriber, my dream has always been to go full time. I’m one step closer, and with the support from subscribers like yourself then it’s definitely achievable
Living the dream pal! Just need to start making some money from them now! Honest bloke who shows reality of rusty bolts and not always knowing the best way to do the job but getting it done!
I never seem to have enough time, hopefully have this ramp is going to speed things up and also give me the confidence to fix other peoples cars, thank for watching 👀
Wow mate, I’m blown away by the transformation!!! I’m soooooo happy for you mate, you totally deserve this for how bloody hard you’ve worked/work!! 🥳 Enjoy the fruits of your labour mate!! ☺️ Wishing you & all the family all the very best of health & happiness 🙏🤞 Take care Leon ☺️👍
@ Thank you mate. You’re very welcome, I mean every word! Nothing but the utmost of respect & admiration for you Leon 👌 Yes, it certainly will do mate. All the best ☺️👍
Yes mate! Love to see it! Things are coming together slowly and surely. Ramp will make a lot of difference for you! Can't wait to see what car you tackle next! Keep up the amazing work!
Just stumbled upon your channel. Love your new garage layout. Sorry to hear about your annoying neighbors forcing you to take down canopy, but getting the new work space quite the blessing. I cannot believe how long that wait was, though. Also, that's really neat that the storage unit allowed you to run power and solar panels in there. Getting the tool box as a gift from the wife and kids was heartwarming. All the best from SLC, USA. Dduw bendithia Gymru. Bendith Duw ddynion y gorllewin!
Thanks very much for the feedback, It was definitely a blessing, the owner of the storage unit is a subscriber lol and loves the channel, he asks me every week when the next videos are coming lol, I bet the weather's nice there, I bloody hate our winter months it's dark by 16:00 and can't do anything as its raining all the time, all the best from wet n cold Wales
What a transformation fella. Giving me some ideas for my new garage. The floor and walls first and go from there. Good on you. You've come so far and look at the knowledge and experienced you have gained. Be safe and I look forward to the next video.
Nice one. I can relate to this. Ive had 3 crappy garages. 1st was behind some council houses, you had to drive between 2 houses and it barely fit my volvo. 2nd was a open air horse shed that me and some mates spent ages putting down osb floor and walls up and running electrics. Then I moved and had to keep my car in a garage smaller than yours. I did the same, but much cheaper I just used a 12v battery and some 12v lights. But had to be temp fixing it to the walls etc. I rented them all so I couldn't build apart from the horse shed which is still standing. It really makes you realise how much you take for granted having 230v when you've been in situations like that. But Now I've got my own double garage I own I can do what I like to it. Diesel heater, no problem. Drill holes for ventilation, Whatever I want. Although my double is not basically a single now it's full of so much junk.😂 My next idea is making swing down storage bins that fit between the rafters. You could do the same. Do you own this garage or just have permission to drill into it etc? Also get your security up to scratch. Cameras: Reolink are OK. Tapo are OK too but need Internet connection (4g router / even an old smartphone acting as a hot-spot would work). Make your security stealthy to avoid attracting thieves. And install things that make it pain to break in. And don't post any clips that could locate your garage, you never know who's watching. Congrats
Top advice, thanks for taking the time to comment, Yeah I totally agree, You don't release how much you need electric and water. I definitely feel your pain, The owner is a subscriber and loves the channel and I asked first before I completed any work, It's a rented garage, any holes would be filled in if I left. I would love a bigger garage but who knows what the future holds, thanks for watching
So impressed Leon - I bet you were like a kid in a sweet shop opening up all that gear, all of which looks sooooo good ! Dead jealous ! Most important thing now is to get it all paying you back, which you fully deserve ! Best from HK and keep ‘em comin’! JCHK
I was extremely excited to say the least lol, Thank you for your continued support i'm extremely grateful you've been subbed for over 4 years! fantastic
Wow, what a transformation. And what a great channel. Down to earth, modest, honest and driven. Takes alot of determination to work on cars outside in the cold and wet. Best of luck for the future to you. However, please look into some kind of lone working alarm system. If your out there by yourself and something happens at least it could alert someone. Unforseen things can happen quickly. Stay safe! 👍
The floor will be an insulator for you and the garage. You left the best for last. The ramp. Boy is that going to make you working time, so much easier. As usual looking forward to the next one. 👍👍 Cheers.
Can't wait to use it. It’s got to be easier than a trolley jack, I’ve always wanted one but I couldn’t justify it, but sometimes you have to take the risk thanks for watching 👀
Nice to see that is a real working man, being succesfull on youtube for once, making content that we can relate to! This looks great, looking forward to follow your channel!
Bro that's amazing. I am definitely taking a lot into my garage from you. Thank you so much. I come across your channel back you were working on the A1 on your drive and since then I didn't stop watching your videos and all the Ups and downs that the channel took since then, but I am so glad you kept going forward and to see all this is amazing.
The Audi A1 was the bain of my life, I wish I had the confidence to fix it, I reckon I would sort it now. Awesome, thank you! There's plenty more coming and things can only get better,
Having purchased a single garage a few years ago for my own car I’ve noticed prices for these are really on the rise! Circa 10-16K for a lock up. I do hope you were able to buy yours as all that investment could be a pain if a landlord wants the garage back! Great story….a hard working genuine fella who is following his hobby and making an income work too
It’s not mine unfortunately I just rent it but it’s ok if I have to move everything can come with me apart from the paint on the walls lol so not a big deal, and if I get a bigger garage then I can always add to the flooring
Hey, very nice work, it's so nice to see all the progress you've made in your garage, so exciting !! You deserved a nice and clean garage ! Nothing excessive like a lot of people would usually show on RUclips, it's inspiring (I'm jealous of it) 😄
Just found your video, what an inspiration. The effort you have put in sir is awesome. I've been thinking of going solo as a mechanic for ages but nervous to take the plunge. Keep up your efforts, and look forward to future videos 👍
Inspiring story, came across your channel and watched where you started from and where you are now. Great job and wish you all the success in the future.
Fantastic transformation what a difference everything makes i love it that is a nice lift will be nice to see another project in there getting sorted keep it up my friend
I'm currently on with my garage build and it has no mains electricity. It's good to see that solar can power one of these mid rise lifts as that's the route I was thinking of going down. Great job by the way.
the electric is probably the hardest part to sort out, Its cost a lot but its definitely worth it, but make sure you invest in big amp batteries and over 4kw inverter, and even then you are still dependant on the weather, if you use it all the time then it wont last all day, good luck with your garage
I honestly thought I’d never fit one in my small garage but you will be surprised 😳, don’t be jealous be inspired, I didn’t even have electricity ⚡️ but I found a way around it. You might be able to find a way, there’s smaller lifts out there, just do some research. Good luck 🤞 and thanks for the support
Looks great. I have one of those lifts too and the same interlocking flooring in my garage. I ended up getting a shallow pit dug and dropped the lift into it and a couple of 22mm ply boards over the top so I could park where I wanted to rather than being constrained by the position of the ramps.
Massive transformation 👍that’s a really smart functional garage and that lift will be a massive benefit too, great job with the flooring too that is much better than the concrete that’ll be a lot better for you now 👌
You my friend one day will be a very successful man, keep up the amazing content and trading of cars. I do the same now with 70k worth of tools I started like you with very little.
Awesome work mate keep up the good work :) Somthing I'd recommend but not essential is to get a dehumidifier and place it in the garage takes all if any of the moisture out the air and keeps everything in good nick avoiding rust in the long life of it all :) Keep up the good work
I have same ramp in my garage, certainly gone up in price as i only paid £1200 delivered from the same people. The ramp has been great other than two issues. 1. The hydraulic pipe was in the wrong position where it comes through the black pipe so i needed a replacement pipe. A mate had the same lift after me and i advised him to check the said pipe before using but he didnt and same thing happened on his loosing all the fluid whilst he had a car in the air! So check yours sooner rather than later as it can be fixed before it cuts through the pipe! The other issue I have was the trip used in the control box was wrong i.e. too small and kept tripping out, I sent them a picture of the trip and they sent a larger one and havent had the issue since. Makes working on cars so much easier and as its portable you can take it outside the garage if you need the height as youll be limited inside like I am.
@RevivingSalvage No problem, hopefully they have fixed the issue on yours but worth checking! Basically whilst the ramp is going up keep an eye on where the two pipes come out of the beam and attach to the rams. On mine and my mates they rubbed against the metal cutting through them. If yours are touching make sure the ramp has locked on the safety locks undo the nut slightly, reposition the pipe so it's coming out the hole centrally and nip the bolt back up!
Thanks very much, but don’t be jealous, be inspired I never thought I would ever have electric never mind a ramp. With the right approach and a positive attitude you can achieve anything. Loving the support
Fair play mate, looks decent! I think i'd be worried about it getting into though. I'm actually building my garage / workshop at the bottom of my garden because its adding value to my property but it also means I haven't got to travel and worry about security.
cheers buddy, Yeah security is an issue but if someone wanted it, they would break in regardless where it is, you often hear of people breaking into homes in broad daylight even when the owners home! To be honest it's pretty secure and there always someone there, and the lift is over 500kg so there's no way they be able to lift it on their own lol, all the best with your build I always wanted a garage by my house but unfortunately planning wouldn't allow
Thanks very much, here's mine if it helps you and good luck The size is 4mx6m at the front and 3mx6m at the rear its slightly wider at the front and the height is 240m in the middle but is higher at the front and lower at the back, I hope this helps
Thanks very much, i'm very lucky and i've waited a long time to have a lift, sometimes you have to invest in yourself if you want to move forward, life's too short, if you have an opportunity then grab it with both hands, good luck
Must say, thoroughly enjoyed your video that just popped up on my feed. Have now subscribed and shared with my friends and I wish you all the best for the future.
Hello from cold and wet Wales 🏴 thanks for watching 👀 I’m extremely grateful. The lift was a big risk but hopefully 🤞 it will pay off. All the best buddy
Nice work fella. I'd love to see the lift in use, to see how easy it is to get a typical car on it, how high your rafters are, and how much more / better access it gives you to work on the car to do typical jobs.
I’m currently working on new content and using the lift, I can honestly tell you that the lift is a game changer, I wish I had one sooner. I’ve had some issues with my solar setup running the lift but I think I’ve solved it now and it’s working great 👍 plenty more coming soon. The height of my garage in the centre is around 2.40 and 4x6 at the front and 3x6 at the back. I hope this helps
Nice to watch a realistic garage makeover! So many videos out there with huge spaces that us normal folk will never have. This is great inspiration for my next garage!

@@RevivingSalvage tools are one of the best investments you can make so it should all pay for itself eventually
@SBBUK 🤞 hope so!
I still find this rather big...
Nice work, the mobile scissor lift is an excellent addition and a great solution in any garages with height limitations, and will benefit you massively in every way. Well done fella.
Thanks for the support I’m extremely grateful
Sooo what more would a grown men want? Just some broken cars to get it fixed in this nice place!

Working on a small project at the moment coming soon but this lift will make life easier. Thanks for the support
Brilliant transformation fair play, it’s come a long way from a basic garage to a proper workshop 😀
Thanks very much very kind

They are a cracking lift at a very reasonable price, just looking 👀 forward to using it
Looks great Leon, the ramp will make a massive difference .
Hope so! 🤞 thanks Rich
I'm jealous - I wish I had room for a lift. The only thing I hate about working on cars is jacking them up 👍
I honestly thought I’d never fit one in my small garage but you will be surprised 😳, don’t be jealous be inspired, I didn’t even have electricity ⚡️ but I found a way around it. Brilliant to see how far you have come. You deserve every success. Really enjoyed this video 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you so much!!
What a great garage layout! I am so envious 😍 enjoy it!
Looks mega! I have similar flooring, and it really makes a difference. Love the lift - it looks like it goes a good way up too.
The flooring does makes a massive difference I'm so glad I took the time to fit it and the lift goes up to a meter high
Delighted for ya .. Good job.. Well done hope everything works out 🎉
Fingers crossed! 🤞 thanks very much
Looks great and top marks to you for your dedication and following your dream. I wish you all the success you deserve.
Thank you so much!
Wow from working on the drive with a rickety car cover to this very cool well done 👏
I know I can’t believe it myself lol thanks very much

Yeah that seems a good idea I think 🤔 I might trip over it at some point lol. But I think the owner wouldn’t approve of a big hole 🕳️ in mine lol.
You worked hard and it paid off lad you deserved this 👏 well done
Thanks very much for the kind words
You have what you always wanted at a cost well done
Thanks very much
Massive transformation 👍that’s a really smart functional garage and that lift will be a massive benefit too, great job with the flooring too that is much better than the concrete that’ll be a lot better for you now 👌

No problem 👍enjoy your videos and that lift and garage set up will deffo work
You my friend one day will be a very successful man, keep up the amazing content and trading of cars. I do the same now with 70k worth of tools I started like you with very little.
I bloody hope so! I keep telling myself that but still nothing lol Wow fantastic comment and i'm extremely grateful thank you
@@RevivingSalvage just takes time and maybe 5 to 10 years time from now everything will fall into place :)
Hopefully 🤞 thank you
Great garage! Good work, feels very homely. 😉
Thanks very much
Great addition to your garage! Wow!
Thanks very much I’ve wanted a lift for a long time but the power was a massive problem but hopefully 🤞 it will work out thanks for watching 👀
Best thing with that floor is not being freezing cold sitting or lying on it this time of year
Yeah 👍 it’s going to make a huge difference it even sounds better when recording
So jealous.... this will be a game changer well done u👏
Don’t be jealous bud be inspired, it’s taken me a long time to get to this point, without the risk there’s no reward
Great vid thank you for giving us ideas mate! Nice one!
Thanks for the great feedback, I’m glad I could help

Just found this channel. Love the solar panels, fair play mate. I hope things so well for you in the future.
Thanks for the feedback, and welcome to the family, plenty more vids coming soon! Including even more upgrades to the solar setup.
Stunning workshop 👍
Thanks very much
looks good man, what a nice upgrade that is!
Thanks very much
Great! I think that the lift will draw more current when it is loaded with the weight of a car though.
Great point! It probably will but if you watch my latest video you will actually see it working bud
@@RevivingSalvage Unfortunately I don't want to spend a massive amount of time watching videos.
Great update mate, thought you were too quiet, knowing you busy behind the scenes 👍happy birthday to you 🎉🎂, still having toys just bigger 👌
Cheers Ian yeah 👍 got to love a toy for the garage lol 😂
Awesome work mate keep up the good work :)
Somthing I'd recommend but not essential is to get a dehumidifier and place it in the garage takes all if any of the moisture out the air and keeps everything in good nick avoiding rust in the long life of it all :)
Keep up the good work
Thanks for the tip! I will keep that in mind
Wow 😮 that’s a big price jump! I’m impressed so far but I will definitely look into that pipe thanks for the advice I really appreciate it
@RevivingSalvage No problem, hopefully they have fixed the issue on yours but worth checking!
Great video. Love the enthusiasm. Some great kit there. Hope you’ve got all the right insurance in case of a break in
Thanks for the feedback and advice I really appreciate it
U've come along way from outside the house good luck and hope it pays off for u garage looking lovely
Thanks very much I really appreciate it
Brilliant transformation on the garage mate and a brilliant birthday present. Also happy belated birthday 🥳
Cheers mukka very kind, I hope you are well bud I haven’t seen you for a while, hoping you get back to uploading soon
@ im all good thank you and finally will be back next week. Had a long enough break 😂
Brilliant mate! Very jealous of your set up now! Bendigedig ! 🏴🏴🏴
Thanks very much, but don’t be jealous, be inspired I never thought I would ever have electric never mind a ramp. With the right approach and a positive attitude you can achieve anything. Loving the support
I just saw this video and I had to subscribe straight away. Well done 👍😁 you have me hooked 😂
Thanks very much for the sub Im extremely grateful, plenty more videos coming soon
Thanks for sharing mate, I got a 9x17' garage, I'll definitely follow your work
Thanks very much, here's mine if it helps you and good luck
The size is 4mx6m at the front and 3mx6m at the rear its slightly wider at the front and the height is 240m in the middle but is higher at the front and lower at the back, I hope this helps
Well done mate on the garage , looking great , subscribed to see more 👍🏻
fantastic feedback, thanks for the sub!
Brilliant set up! Top job!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Enjoying your channel just found it from this video
Thankyou 😊
You’re welcome 😊glad you enjoyed
Looks amazing mate love the units and so jealous of that lift,I’ve wanted one for a long time 😊
Thanks very much, i'm very lucky and i've waited a long time to have a lift, sometimes you have to invest in yourself if you want to move forward, life's too short, if you have an opportunity then grab it with both hands, good luck
Must say, thoroughly enjoyed your video that just popped up on my feed. Have now subscribed and shared with my friends and I wish you all the best for the future.
Iam the Portugal islands Azores, Congratulains for the garage, I like the elevater car,the best.
Hello from cold and wet Wales 🏴 thanks for watching 👀 I’m extremely grateful. The lift was a big risk but hopefully 🤞 it will pay off. All the best buddy
Great job, going to make your life so much easier, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I hope so!🤞
Great job and video, you have done a great job utilising the space you have . Well done 👍
Thanks very much
Great progress, keep going mate!
Thank you, will do!
