Holy shit! That was one bad ass groove!!! By far one of my favorite sets she has ever done. You don't hear too many dual bass solos that grooved that hard! She always sourrounds herself with excellent musicanship!
By far one of her best sets with this song. She's amazing as a songwriter, singer and of above all bassist! She's surrounds herself with great musicians too. They killed this version of Getting High.
ohhhhh !!! Standing ovation for SKALPLEMAIRE :-) a+

Don't think you'll ever see this since your comment is about 4 years old but I just gotta say WOW! THAT is one serious complete list of incredible music. Honestly, I know about a quarter or a little more of the folks you mentioned but thank you. I have alot of new stuff to check out. This right here is one of the most badass clips on all of RUclips imho..really the whole show and I'm so thankful I got to see her back then a few times. And as recently as last summer. Really hoping that she returns to the neo soul/funk that she practically reinvented imho. There was nothing better than seeing her and this insanely talented band gettin down like there was no tomorrow. I love her to death and maybe it's a little selfish of me..but lord I wish she'd get back to the Funk. Esp since she's covering Atomic Dog and Waterfalls etc on her new album. Also gotta say..Lord have mercy..I just saw Alice Smith for the 1st time last summer and again a few months ago and damn if she ain't the best singer out there now..I don't know who is. Lookin forward to checking out so many of the artists you list who I haven't heard. Thankfully I saw Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings well before they became huge...it was so cool seeing them go from playing here around Brooklyn and in the city at small clubs..to touring and conquering the world. Sharon will always be in my heart and may she RIP...though I'm fairly certain she's got the Lord dancin up a storm up in heaven. She's probably having a sing off right now with James Brown :-) Man I miss her. I'm glad the Dap Kings are still doing their thing though cause it would be a shame for them to not play together.
Holy shit! That was one bad ass groove!!! By far one of my favorite sets she has ever done. You don't hear too many dual bass solos that grooved that hard! She always sourrounds herself with excellent musicanship!
DC loves U MeShell!
Boy the vibe was really getting high. They were hitting the timing with accelerated speed. Reminded me of Jimmie Hendrix with Santana. Love it.
By far one of her best sets with this song. She's amazing as a songwriter, singer and of above all bassist! She's surrounds herself with great musicians too. They killed this version of Getting High.
Gat so distracted by her bassism that I forgot to do what I came here for...
What an amazing groove! Meshelle you're a Boss bassist and all round musician - big thanks for sharing your gifts especially to us female bassists!
