I am looking forward for the future! Currently a junior in high school but I am very passionate in law enforcement, especially in dps. I’ve talked to Sergeant Erick Estrada plenty of times for the opportunity as a senior to go on ride alongside to experience the career in person! Thank you for what you do! 🖤💙

As someone considering DPS it is amazing to see something more personal like a podcast where you can actually listen to Troopers speak about their experiences and time with the agency. Great work!

Contact your local recruiter. Find that info on DPS site.

They have no standards. 60 hours of college is nothing.

Would you rather it be more college hours and education?

And yet it’s one of the careers with the most turnover and rejected applications. You can’t set unreasonable standards when your turnover is already incredibly bad.

There was a time when a college education wasn't even a requirement.

Wow, they have almost 3k troopers in the state and this takes an hour a week with only 2 troopers. 2 troopers out of 3k is so detrimental...

Your minds gonna be blown when I tell you that DPS has different jobs. Not everyone who works for DPS is a highway patrol officer.
