Which blade did he put in his shavette ? The noise when it cuts says it doesn't seem so sharp. Normally a good skin preparation with a sharp blade doesn't make noise while shaving.

That's not a badger brush, it looks more like a boar hair brush. From the looks of it I'd say something over 28mm.
