"Unique bond", huh? You mean the one that ended with David Coverdale firing John before he could even put down the solo for the re-imagined "Here I Go Again"? A song that NEEDED a kick in the ass? How about those times you'd see Coverdale roll his eyes when introducing John during his first shows in the band? The bond in which John apparently wasn't image friendly enough for MTV, so David canned him with the rest of the band before that super important record was even released? THAT bond?
They weren’t friends. They hated one another
Terrible video. Can't belive I lasted 49 seconds. It includes photos of the wrong John Sykes and endless words not related to Coverdale's short insta post. Please take it down. Disrespectful.
Was there even a point Coverdale fired John Sykes the way he fired millions of others, if you were in WS back in the day you’d be lucky to be on like one album he couldn’t even hang on to Adrian either, but Tommy Aldrich returning was the impossible
Unbelievable. Coverdale screw Sykes completely. There has been no relationship since the betrayal, yet Coverdale is now looking for press. What a loser.
0:38 - 0:44 John Sykes , music and entertainment executive - *Not* John Sykes the Rock guitarist
Yes but I remember the time when John jumped into his girlfriend's Corvette chased after Coverdale was ready to beat his ass🇬🇧
That's rich. Coverdale screwed Sykes, Murray, Dunbar , and Airey over. The whole band was fired, and Coverdale took the cash for himself.
What a phooking Hypocrite. Muppet!!!
Love Coverdale...however he was a complete prick to John and was extremely jealous of his talent and looks. John was sacked from Whitesnake...after he helped make the band superstars. Take this crap down, its embarrassing. RIP John x
Don't blame AI, blame shitty AI content creators.
They didn’t have unique bond. LOL
Coverdale unceremoniously fired Sykes after recording that 1987 album and they never got along after that.
Yes, celebrate Sykes’ legacy but tell the truth.
Coverdale did him and all of us wrong.
Goodbye brother? Well said? What you did to John will forever remain in rock history! The worst thing a human can do! The people will never forget your worst act!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬My heart hurts so much that it's painful. I keep screaming in my heart... Why? How? Too soon, God! Rest in peace, John Sykes' soul! Your guitar playing will last forever.😢😭😢😭😢😭😢😭🙏私は苦しい位心が痛いです。心の中で叫び続けています.....何故?.....どうして?.....早いよ神様‼ ジョンサイクスの魂よ安らかに!あなたのギタープレイは永遠です。😢😭😢😭😢😭🙏🙏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏿
No need to say anything, all said here is a bunch of crap !
sad they never made up...❤
What horseshit this is. Coverdale was intimidated by what Sykes was capable of. Coverdale got what he needed and cut John loose, end of story.
This video is AI driven with false photos of another completely different person who goes by the same name John Sykes.
D. Coverdale screwed John Sykes music career with irreperable damage. John Sykes quoted in 2017 that "I wish to never speak to that man ever again".
Also Robert Plant once called D. Coverdale "David Coverband".
Also my quote is of the same category by stating that Dave CoverGIRL needs to stay in hiding for life.
Short haired older guy on 0:39 is not the same John Sykes. Mistake.
I'll stick with Blue Murder - RIP John
This video is AI slop
This is lies. Whoever scripted this knows nothing about their post ‘1987 release. They hugely fell out for years! What an asshole post of bollox
Only mentioned John Sykes in a record store today.. Then I see this in my feed
What a piece of garbage channel
The AI video put a different John Sykes in their photo collage. The man with short gray hair is an entertainment executive names John Sykes.
Seriously, what absolute AI bollocks. "unique bond"? Despite writing all that great music, Coverdale booted John from the band, to his great shame. Coverdale has no friends. He has no bonds with the great players that he played with
Shame on you David.Sykes took your spotligh down here in Brasil 1985 and of course the JEALOUS COVERDALE killed The BEST WHITESNAKE.Even Steve Vai could near replace him.I had lock when I was young to see him on the Orpheu Theather in Boston as Blue Murder leader and play and Sing Still of nite it was not thing do do...Phil Lynot your best is waiting for u in the heaven.RIP JS 🎸 GUITAR WIZARD.
Coverdale have thrown him out. I don't know why exactly but i assume it was a personal thing.
Wrong John Sykes. Wow ai strikes again. What a shambles.
Artificial NON-intelligence.
Screw David Coverdale he screwed Sykes over and John never forgave him !
I liked the original Whitesnake with Bernie, John Lord. Cozy etc... I loved Sykes with Lizzy, and Blue Murder. BUT. I agree that Sykes was the spark Dave needed for new songs, new image etc.. I liked it, but nothing touches early 80s WS in my op, 1 last thing, if Sykes stayed in Whitesnake, I don't believe alternative music would have been as huge, Dave made the big money, became the #1 band in the world, but Vai and Vandenberg were never right for snake, The metal thing burned out, Sykes was more classic rock than metal, and would have added class. and longevity to Whitesnake, Love Vai and Vandenbeeg, but hated them with Whitesnake, SOUNDED LIKE SHIT AND THEY LOOKED STUPID. Also , Sykes was a great singer, unlike Vai and Vandenbwerge, Maybe that scared David. GOODBYE JS, YOU MADE YOUR MARK R.I.P PEACE
DC was extremely jealous. That’s why he fired his band after the album and toured with hired guns for cheap$
Wow, just don’t say anything since you screwed him completely. Sykes made Whitesnake what is was.
