    Hi, so after a very long silence I am super happy to finally return to this project. The past year has been busy with moving to a new city and starting a new job, but I hope to regularly share new creations again (the map & worldbuilding for the next culture are mostly done). I am keeping the video format simple for now to find an easy way back into things but am planning to do another mapmaking tutorial once done with the worldbuilding for the classic age. As always, I am very happy to hear your thoughts and ideas and many thanks for the continued encouragement, it means a lot!

      The project is still alive and I am working to complete the historical atlas during the next few months - I redid the entire world map from scratch and am revising some things to make the history more coherent, but I will then hopefully be able to share the entire draft :)

    Is there a way to see the Dewari writing system? It sounded very intriguing (no worries though if you don't have an actual visual respresentation of it)

    • @LeoLeonis
      @LeoLeonis  2 года назад +2

      Hi thanks :) I have yet to design that though I definitely will (I'm planning for an eventual fusion of Imeri and Dewari scripts in the eastern part of the world so I'll likely create something for that occasion). In any case, you can imagine Dewari characters as an inner glyph representing an experiential state surrounded by another circular glyph representing an entity :)

    • @crowsheart7829
      @crowsheart7829 2 года назад +2

      @@LeoLeonis Sounds logical given the belief in the concept of Hoa and Nila. I also imagine the glyphs being arranged in a circle, maybe on the floor or the walls of the temples (assuming the Dewari temples actually consisted of buildings) or on tapestries, because to me that would appear more fitting than writing them in lines. That way there could be multiple circles of glyphs within one another, emphasizing again the concept of experiences contained within a shape. (just some of my thoughts)

    • @LeoLeonis
      @LeoLeonis  2 года назад +2

      @@crowsheart7829 that's an amazing idea! That way the pattern created by arranging the glyphs would allow for complex (unknown) statements that go far beyond the usual sequential order, fueling the hypotheses of later observers that the Dewari were on search for cosmological truths. Definitely canon now :)

      Hey there, I'm not gone, and am nearing a state of completing the historical atlas - I am however redoing the entire world map since it did not really match what I had in mind, so it will take me a bit to do new maps, but my goal is to finish and release the historical atlas this year :)

    • @LeoLeonis
      @LeoLeonis  Год назад +1

      Hey, yeah they are a bit more involved in the tools they require, but do heavily use all the things in the tutorial I uploaded as well - it's been a bit difficult making time for the project lately, but I hope to make a more advanced tutorial soon :)
