King of the Storm and Dragon God are more subtle in the tones, while Tower Knight and Flamelurker shows the strengths and weaknesses of both each version. At the end of the day it's like wondering if milk chocolate is better than dark chocolate, the same thing but with big enough changes to change the flavor. @@laserpoint3741 That criticism is poorly worded. The problem is not that it isn’t the original, but more that it is different for the sake of being different. The original compositions by Shunsuke Kida dripped with atmosphere, and aided in creating the oppressive melancholic atmosphere of the game. They took something away by making it more in line with Bloodborne or God Of War. This is because the original ost was minimalistic, while the Remake’s is not. It’s valid to criticize them not adhering to the original’s aesthetics and music, which made the game stand out among the later games. Also I would not call it a ‘Remake,’ because it still uses the code of the original game while changing everything else. It’s not build from the ground up. At the end of the day it's like wondering if milk chocolate is better than dark chocolate, the same thing but with big enough changes to change the flavor.
I personally prefer the more cinematic take from Bluepoint, but I can understand why people like the original's darker tone
I have chills just to hear it.
Whao! This is just too epic!!
Cant wait to meet the boss
Ah yes, the boss that makes you realize you're in the game for the long haul.
This song is really growing on me now. I need to pick up this game, then.
I would pay a high price to watch this play live
That thumb nail makes him look like a archvile from Doom eternal
Beat him first try, I done the gold coin glitch, I did NOT have the blueblood yet, let me say that was a fun fight.
Don’t worry I lost to armor spider 3-4 times and died to Dragon God at least 5-6 times.
Tragicamente épico... que som maravilhoso!
1:21-1:44 reminds me of Ludwig Phase 1 somehow
it's very similar

Haven’t played the original but I prefer the original’s ost. Nostalgia my ass.
@@theatheistbear3117 this is so much better😤
@@jakhin.6238 It’s fine if you prefer it, but I like the original more.
@@theatheistbear3117 ah that’s cool
Also this song sounds the closest to the original I love the new choir added to it. The original Demon Souls did not have the budget to do choirs like the remake of demon souls did. Sony didn't give fromsoftware the budget they needed to finish the sixth Archstone another for boss fights would have been added if the sixth Archstone have been completed
I keep saying, we might get dlc considering every souls games has it. And what else other than that archstone
This boss will literally chase you to the ends of the earth to throw nuclear fire fist explosions
Am i the only one thinking this sounds weirdly like Alex Roe. 🤔
Definitely gives off that vibe, ngl.
I like it.
Same dude I was just thinking that 🤔
All this talk about Alex Roe makes me wonder...who the hell he is.
Go check out his channel he has really good dark souls and blood borne inspired albums on their
@@Ali_Al_Saachez dude, i listen to him all the time. That's why i'm hearing the similarities.
One of the few tracks that actually were nicelly remaked
Both are good

Just hearing this i just know this boss is going to be a difficult boss that will take me hours to beat.
I've just started playing Dark Souls....my ass is gonna get kicked in Demon's Souls isn't it...
Love this theme a lot better than the old one, it do be epic.
It lost he unique feeling honestly. The fight is incredibly generic and flat out boring now.

@@darkshat3077 Yes the Remake really sucks.
@@theatheistbear3117 i don't agree, this one is dope. BUT the old one was unique indeed, something about it just makes it so haunting and awesome, i don't know but i love it

Old Iron King: Exist
Flamelurker: Hold my lava
flamelurker is more honorable than iron king and old demon king and twin demon princess and literally every demon of izalith in ds1
I see they've drastically improved the soundtrack
I would disagree with that statement.
@@theatheistbear3117 No
@@jooot_6850 Yes. With the exception of Storm King, none of the ost has been improved. The ost is good, but it really doesn’t hold a candle to the original ost.

Never played the original Demon Souls but I have watched gameplay of it. Call me a sucker for epic choirs and orchestras but damn do I love this theme. Maybe my favorite song in the game (so far, haven't quite beaten the game yet, I'm on 1-3 now)
I'm going to die so many times on this boss
Why the fuck is it so hard to play a new game. I need to go through black markets to find a PS5 that isn't over $1500. I just wanna play the remake to one of my favourite games of all time, man.

What a track masterpiece
this music is fire
I just had the most intense shit while listening to this.

@@magicalhermitcrab5912 I think it doesen't matter. You know what I meaning :)
Im gonna pull a Gael. Almost beat him but purposely die to hear the music again
I did the same with Ludwig
I did something similar with Gherman. Parries were obliterating his health pool before the music kicked in so I spent 2 minutes just dodging to hear his ost in game.

The best boss and music in the game

I get to hear this a lot on NG+ right now because he is really hard, still haven’t killed him
I beat him and a little bit of challenge on NG+1 but I was using a magic build 🤣 Magic’s busted
@@joeystarr1273 Lol what I had to do was wait for explosions or his leaps then punish with 2 hits and run, repeat, 3rd phase only his leap was the best to punish. It was like 17 tries and my build is pretty much the knight from the cover and intro because idk 🤣🤣
Vitality is something like 40
Endurance also around 40
Strength around 35
Dex around 13
That’s all I remember but I made a ton of progress after killing Flamelurker then
@@Hollowslayer23 Yeah NG+ Flamelurker is a big upgrade. Beat him first try in NG, but died a ton in NG+1 and +2. Generally it was his explosions that kept getting me because it was so weird dodging them and I'd usually take at least some damage from it. Definitely have gotten more into the rhythm over time, though, and beat him first try on +3.
I got him first time on ng+
@@binky8843 cool
I will never understand the people that say the old theme was better... like, not saying it was bad, but come ooon, are you even listening to this song?
its probably because it strays a little too far from the original. I love the OG demons souls OST, and though this music is so much better and amazingly produced, I also prefer the original sound...I'll bump it all end the end lol
because it lost its unsettling tone
flamelurkers original theme isnt just tragic, its intimidating and primal; its not trying to sound cool like at all
this just sounds like generic video game music
@@homieplus8492 The chords they’re singing are definitely unsettling imo. The mix between sweet sounding melodies and dissonance in the choir is really cool.
Simple sometimes is better. No need to have it be so complicated. You like Gwyn's theme? There's a reason why it's a meme, plin plin plon makes you cry. Same here, this is sounding bloodborne. The other ost was aesthetically fitting. A real artists doesn't just make decisions without thinking and that's why I think this ost is bad, they didn't understand why the composer used the instruments he did and why it worked
@@homieplus8492 quit the nonsence. Original sucks. It is way too dull and u here the same thibg repeating over and over again.
im still recovering from how bright his boss room is
Fuck all those stupid "Remake VS Original" comments. They are both great and awesome in each own ways
Yea I agree, people that complain that it’s not like the original confuse me, after sll the game has remake in the title
@@laserpoint3741 That’s not really what people have criticism of.
@@theatheistbear3117 really? I’ve seen multiple comments crying about how it’s no like the original and it doesn’t fit the original demon souls.
If anything, they should’ve changed the gameplay instead of keeping it’s rough edges. That’s a major issue, and the main complaint I have besides the ost.
@@theatheistbear3117 they changed the atmosphere of the game making it more modern, the new ost should fit the new atmosphere. And isn’t the original flamelurker theme in parts of this one as well
