I love this channel because I learn more things about aquatic animals than when I’m in science class. And I like Jonathan bird narrating and exploring.
4:50 I literally thought those were leaves foating by! Never knew such kind of thin fish exist! Thanks for introducing me to one. Also, I think the seahorses are interesting. I am looking forward to an episode about seahorses/orcas😍
Yaiy!!! You mentioned my countershading!!! Sharky xxx... Also some pretty sneaky sea mals!!! And some beautiful ones. Also noted the warning-sign culture is in effect at sea as well as on land.
It's cool that I've been watching this when I was a kid to now and every time I go to bad I always used to say I'm gonna meet BlueWoldTV and now I'm trying my Goal and watching him from old to new I will try!
You are the best of the best you are ready for Hollywood or discovery Channel. I mean your videos are better than the most of the popular TV shows!!! And I couldn't understand why so many people subscribed to your channel. More marketing of your channel is important not because of the status but to show people how important and beautiful our blue world is and that's not dangerous at all with a little practice and a correct behavior. I learn so much here!!!!! Thank you a lot
Hey Jonathan! I saw some of your videos where you went to the St. Lawrence river. You should totally come to Waddington New York because I live very close to there and it's the carp capital of the world! This year will be my fourth year participating in the St. Lawrence International Junior carp tournament. It takes place on the 26th and 27th of August this year and I really would love it if you could make it! Hope to see you there! -Carter:)
I guess there are always camouflaged creatures near reef systems. To be that lucky to find and prove. It seems the goal to search for them is less needed. Maybe you just go somewhere and record what you can be a surprise there-of? Is that the blind trick refocused? I wonder if all those clips are from the same diving area experience? That would be impressive to get more of those kinds of groupings. Great video option. Thank you so much!
Hey jonathan you have to come and dive at my hometown! cabo san lucas ill b glad to guide you :), we have the sandfall waterfalls dicoverded by jacques cousteau, ps i love your show
+0mn0m8w31rdc4ndy We thought about a video where we told everyone the Megalodon was real with a "April Fools" at the end, but that is way too Discovery Channel for us.
Can you make an episode about fishes that kept as pet, I just discovered your channel yesterday and now I'm having a streaming marathon of your videos😃
# I love all your videos #, I've learned different things about ocean creatures that I've never knew or have even heard of certain creatures. It'd be even cooler when you get your own television show. My daughter enjoys your videos as well. Keep doing what you do your amazing at doing what you do and very intelligent. I'll never stop watching. 👀💯😃🤗💙✨👍👏👌✌️✊🌍🦈🐬🐋🐳🐟🐠🐡🦐🦀🦑🐙
Have you heard of the Brave Wilderness channel? He's more of a terrestrial guy, but you should look into doing a video with him. He had the same amount of subs you do right now just a several months ago and now he has 700k subs. I'm sure all his subs will appreciate your videos and vice versa. Lots of RUclipsrs were put on a road to millions of subs by just being promoted by the right channels. Personally I think that RUclips should have a 'Wilderness Month' to promote channels like yours. You guys spend thousands of dollars on videos to educate and captivate viewers while the people with most subs use a $100 webcam to ramble on about nothing important, so I would think you guys should deserve that. In the meantime, I'll buy some stuff from your shop to help you out. Cheers.
+BlueWorldTV Actually, it was over a period of 8 months. socialblade.com/youtube/user/breakingtrail/monthly He's apart of Discovery Digital Network and the channel is owned by them as well. I believe the way he got so many subs was by uploading at least one video nearly every single week and the content he was uploading (Steven Irwin type of stuff - getting attacked by animals and etc). Once he started uploading 2-3 videos every week, his subs per week increased dramatically. He was able to upload so many videos every weeks because he broke his filming sessions down into smaller videos or include 'behind the scenes' or 'outtakes'. To summarize, this 'snowball effect' was achieved due to him having around 100k subs and uploading multiple videos per week. If you can upload videos on a regular basis, I believe you can achieve the same results too. You have to think of how people watch videos on RUclips when considering how to edit / break down your videos. Most people would be able to watch the entirety of a 0 - 5 min video. In the 5 - 15 min range, you still have a lot of people willing to watch the whole thing. For 15 - 45 min, there's a lot less people that will watch the whole video. So if you have a 30 minute video from a shoot, you could break that down into 3 - 6 segments. That doesn't really hurt the content of the video at all because you can put all the segments into a playlist and have a link the the next video in each segment. Not only does more videos give you more views, it gives you more subs because you can upload the videos regularly. Also with more videos the greater the chance people will see them in a search result or in the related videos. Plus the playlists you put them in show up in search results too.
+John Cena I have always hated breaking up a nicely written story into pieces just for the ad revenue associated with posting smaller chunks. I was glad when RUclips introduced the "ad break" so you could post longer stuff with an ad in the middle to get some of the advantage of smaller chunks. But I hadn't considered the subscription effect of that. However, I would think that leaving a story in the middle and making people wait a day to see more would actually be kind of annoying. We could definitely release more out takes and goofy stuff. Our Shark Academy, Blue World Academy, and Tools of the Trade series were all created to help us produce more content that people wanted to see and allowed us to do weekly releases. But the type of show we are producing is very expensive and we just don't have the resources to be releasing 2-3 segments a week like many other channels. I'll have to give this some thought and I appreciate your insight.
BlueWorldTV I've taken several film / photography classes and I agree it is a shame to butcher a well written story. Although for the playlists I watch with autoplay on, the next video loads instantly so even if a story is broken down into multiple segments, it could still essentially be watched as originally intended. Here in RUclips world it's a whole different story. A place where mostly everyone is going into videos with a short attention span, the videos with the most views have thumbnails with hot babes in them and half the nature videos have "Damn nature, you scary" written on them. If you look at the channels with the most subs they almost all have videos with manageable lengths and post frequently. None of their videos would win any awards at film festivals, but they do produce results. Take looking at posting videos like a TV show. If a network just released an entire season all at one time, what would make people want to come back? I'm not saying to turn your show into a drama where a shark randomly comes at you and it cuts to black *cough Discovery Channel*, but just leave people wanting more in a tasteful way so they subscribe. In other terms: 'don't put all your eggs in one basket' and 'get more bang for your buck'. Well that's all I have to say on that. Sorry for the expounding comments, but I've been on RUclips since the beginning and just have a lot to say about it. Best of luck.
this show helps me with depression. thank you, jonathan bird and team. ❤

Hi Jonathan, on which part of Indonesian reef did you find that pygmy seahorse? I'm planning to make my diving license in Indonesia soon :D
They are fairly common out there. Any good dive guide will be able to take you to one. They are very hard to find on your own.
