Leonel, the Genesis moves 251 CFM, right between the Vornado at 246 and the Air King at 255. Air speed is also very similar between those three, though the Genesis and Vornado are each much quieter than the Air King.

I like my VFan in my bedroom, you just hear the air moving on the first setting. The second setting is my happy place because I live right on the street, so I need to drown out that traffic noise. It's also metal, so it's heavy enough that it doesn't rattle like the lighter plastic fans can.
I always thought I was weird but its nice to see many other people need a fan to sleep too 🤣 even in the winter time something about the noise and the light breeze relaxes me. Get a metal fan if your into that because it will actually Last for years because they are built more heavy duty vs a walmart special plastic fan that will abrutly burn out with in a year if your a heavy fan user like those of us that use one 365 Days. Everything is built so cheap now a days until its unbelievable.. 🙄😔
I think Metal fans are the best fans to have if you wan't real good circulation and your product to actually last. The lowest setting on a metal fan is equivalent to the high setting on a traditional plastic bladed fan most of us are use to.. If you want something that will LAST years get that type of fan but if your on a tight budget and don't have 60+ to spend on a fan then a cheap plastic fan is better than no fan at all.
so much science and time and detail went into this & ive been looking on amazon for a week now, i appreciate this video it helped so much thank you! :)
You don't want to sleep with that Air King, I love mine, but it blows my curtains and pictures off my wall even on the low setting. That thing airs out a hot room though, just keep an eye on it cause it's powerful!
I can see, nobody is mentioning or making a reviews online on the sites about Klarstein. This is real great german, a beast of the brand. They have as well the most powerful tower air cooler fan. The Polar Tower Smart. With it's 3.306m³ / h of max wind speed is insane. I didn't seen anything more powerful. Correct me if i'm wrong, maybe there is something up to that level of wind speed... but Klarstein definitely needs more attention.
When the first few sentences talk about a fan 'being out of stock until spring of 2019' - but the title claims to be 'best fan of 2020' - I know I'm being yanked around. Had to downvote for that reason.
I have a Vornado vintage fan, it's the same model but size smaller. It didn't last! It comes in three sizes and it appears that this one in the video is the largest size. I enjoyed the styling of this fan and also the metal construction. I thought it would last for a very long time because of that sturdy appearance. I have a real vintage fan that is probably from the 40's or 50's and it's still works. Unfortunately this one has not lived up to it's reputation. I keep mine next to my bed and use it on low all year round. I believe I am going on my second year now and the motor is starting to give me problems. When I switch it on low the blades don't spin. It's as thought he motor is freezing up. If I put it on high it will start spinning and then I can switch it over to low and it will work. It is manageable for now but I have a feeling it won't be too long before it gives up all together. This is disappointing because I paid quite a bit more for this and was willing to do so thinking it would last a very long time. It is also pretty loud. It has a cool vintage humming type sound which I don't mind. In fact I kind of liked since I like white noise. Others who are sensitive would probably be very upset about this so be advised it you are considering it. The sad thing is that it seems like fans today are either super cheap or terribly expensive. Maybe I will try that Genesis Avalon. If they are not going to last more than 2 years, I really don;t want to pay more than $50.
That's the problem with today's fan industries. They are a fucking scam...they used to, and KNOW how to build long lasting machines but they don't do it anymore because fancy-looking cheap equipment gives them more sales
I just bought a Woozoo and am concerned I should have gotten the Vorando, although it lacks oscillation functionality and a remote. (Good grief; I just don't want to suffer another Seattle summer without AC or a d@#! ceiling fan!)
Brah, Dewalt Ryobi Rigid Makita & Milwaukee fans ;) Plus they get portable and even if you’re not a handyman diyer.. you’ll probably end up buying something like a leaf blower or portable light that runs off their battery platform! Plus most of the fans have a 12v option
I am seeking a way to keep a breeze flowing over some external USB hard drives that are in my livingroom, which run 24/7/365, and are somewhat hot to-the-touch. But I need the fan to be quiet, because I watch TV and listen to music (at low volumes, from time-to-time), and I do not want to hear the fan. On the Vornado's lowest setting, in a very quiet room, can you hear it from 10 feet away? Thank you.
I purchase a varnado fan it doesn't move air that good for the price they charges you, just purchase a 30 inches Dayton industrial pedestal fan 1/2 hp, 5 aph, expensive but well worth it now this fan moves air like you sitting in a breeze that flows over you.
The trick with Vornados is to place it in one corner of the room, and aim it at the opposite corner. Then it makes a gentle breeze through the entire room because the air bounces off the walls.
Industrial fan with a powerful motor and big blades wont effect the air flow a weak motor with big blades will though, these stores model fans are just not worth it.
The Dimplex would of been interesting as it has a timer, digital controls, 360 degree oscillation and was super quiet; really close with Vornado with me which I have (660 model rated at 53 watts- 240V). Vornado does have a thirsty control board with around .20 - .30 amps used just being plugged in from a review I read and the dimplex can have it's rotor become off balance easy from animal hair or human hair if not cleaned every few days at most. They both are great but I think Vornado wins even if the Dimplex comes with a IR remote too just because of how easily the rotor can mess up.
If you really want something that moves air, they are NOT pretty & you can usually get them cheap, but get a used squirrel cage fan from an HVAC shop! They are a little dangerous so if you have small animals or kids don't even consider these, unless you or someone you know is skilled in sheet metal or wood working to build you a box for it to make it safer. I've got just one ancient Lasko metal box fan my parents used in our house before central ac units came out. Had 3 or four & placed them in the windows at night, two blowing in & 2 blowing out!! They kept our house breezy! IF you could FIND one today, probably run you over $100 easy! These plastic fans just don't move the air & almost impossible to find a metal fan worth a dime today! No matter who makes it!!

These fans were clearly not chosen for this test. You just tested whatever you had around. Also, you show measurements of a microphone DIRECTLY IN CENTER OF THE FLOW PATH… Pleeease tell me I don’t have to explain to you how and why that’s terrible. You also never showed this “wind tunnel” but only showed the anemometer measuring a fraction of the overall output. Again, please don’t make me explain. I also assume this “wind tunnel” was not tested in multiple configurations to find how it affected the flow? Static pressure changes over distance, corners create turbulent or reverse flow, different textures create different drag and/or turbulence… Last but not least, the title says “2021” but was clearly originally released in 2018 or 2019. TL;DR: This video is close to worthless. Please don’t trust the information given in this video.
You did this wrong, you are supposed to take the average windflow at various points around the circumference, average it, and also compare the circumference of each fan to see which fan blows the most air.
