I just subscribed to your channel & liked this video. Thank you for uploading the 3 tiers upgrade. I love foldable bikes and you really opened my eyes to the possibilities & potential to upgrade. I am impressed with your mechanical skills. The new bike looks awesome and performs fantastic. That's why I love bikes, you can do your own repairs & maintenance. Cheers
I wait for this day until neck long long liao! 😂 As mentioned in my other comments, the Java Zelo is so easy to upgrade and the return on investment is so good because we can buy cheap MTB components and jam it onto this bike! Thank you for doing this series of upgrades. It really pointed me in the right direction and without having to spend too much, the Java Zelo can be as good as other more expensive foldies. I'm really enjoying my Zelo.
hahaha ps Eric! Must understand weather is not on our side 😂 Oh yeah we honestly think this is legitimately money well spent even with all the upgrades being done on Java Zelo. It's going to be a keeper for us to bring it out for ride time to time. Any further upgrade than this is going to be hard to justify.
@@WiserBiker Yes indeed. My last upgrade will be carbon fork coz the iron fork is heavy and rusting. We do ride in wet condition and I was surprises when the fork started to rust. I thot it's aluminium. Ordered the fork already but may take a few weeks to arrive.
@@erictayet Ooof nice! We always steer away from rain / wet condition haha. Yeah if we had to choose, we will definitely opt for carbon fork as well. Good call!
Hi had a Java Zelo too.. just a little few upgrades for mine too.. overall is not the bike branding, but the leg power is the most concerned.. cheers 👋🏼
Hey bro, greetings from India. You are the only youtuber I've come across who does English reviews of bikes from Asian countries. Great work, keep it up. It is a request if you could get your hands on a Java Siluro 6 and do a review, as I have found no English review of the bike. How it is compared to similar level bike from brands like Giant, Trek, Scott, Merida etc.
Really interesting review, I owned a java zelo as well and I'm planning to upgrade mine similar like yours too ! I'm curious, will there be like a 4th tier upgrade ? Or any top tier upgrade to fully maximize this bike potential ?
Thank you! Tier 4 upgrade for us will be carbon fork but we are really happy with how it performs right now. Ultimately we are just chasing for best bang for buck. Any more upgrade than the carbon fork in our opinion will just give us diminishing return
We suggest getting R10 instead if you can spend a little more (R8 is rim brake while R10 is disc brake) 💪🏻 We did go through some of the rifle bikes during our shop tour at TemSG
Without any modifications, the bike performs as expected for its price point. The fork is definitely on the heavy side, but we felt that it wasn't a priority for us given the other modifications that we had planned in order of importance :)

Leg power and engine is definitely important. But upgrades make us feel good :)
Super like this! I have a Hito X4, similar starting price as Java Zelo, though not as upgraded as yours, but it's nice to see how for it can go!
Thank you! It can go really far but question is how deep do you want to poison yourself xD

Hi Samuel, we would like to do a review on Java Siluro but can't really tell you if we will be able to get one :|
@@WiserBiker okay, no worries. 👍
hello, what is the drivetrain you use for this bike? what can you recommend for 2x10 set up. thank you 🙂

Can u do a review of the Rifle R8? I am considering it as my first foldie.

@@WiserBiker Thanks for the advice!! 👍🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
Hi, what foldable bike will you recommend off the shelf at a similar price point of 1.1k?
Hmmmm most bikes comes with average wheels. You can check out Garcia Viento Review by us - ruclips.net/video/aDavMzGFV8E/видео.html
Thanks. Am considering the viento or the trifold. Also considering the tm09 since it is cheaper and seems quite similar
Hi, I have Zelo too. I am thinking to upgrade it like yours , what is the cost and where to do it ? Thanks
He made 3 videos about the 3 rounds of upgrades he put the bike through
Cool videos :)
Hi! You can dm us on FB/IG and yes we have made a couple of videos specifically on foldable bike upgrade :)
thank you Diogo :)
Did u change the hubs?
We are using Koozer Wheels, the XM490 hub is so underrated haha
@@WiserBiker ahaaa in what stage tier did u changed it
whats the total cost of upgrades
Counting parts, $100 + $250 + $350 😂
Zelo is a very heavy bike.. without mod is really not ease to ride.. got to change the fork as the fork is very heavy
