- I test a Supertrend + QQE MOD + Hawkeye Volume Indicator strategy from TradeIQ for over 650,000 trades over multiple time frames to see if it consistently produced profitable results. Thanks everyone for the support; I've expanded the data I'm displaying from the backtests to include average candles per trade, and I just added a feature to compare the entry signals from the strategy against taking random entry points in the same data set, to help control for market conditions.

WOW. TradeIQ dude got huge 65% win rate and 236,77% profit with this improved Supertrend strategy while Serious Backtester prooves in this video that this strategy is not significantly different than coin toss.

Great video as usual. But i would like to see strategy testing from known channels where the person shows their face and discuss their strategy. Better not take strategies from automated voiceover channels like tradeIQ. We don't know anything about the person behind the computer. Again better to test strategies from quite decent channels or even just famous strategies. Cheers
yes i actually support that, or at least do a little bit of research about the channel before committing so much time to test their strategies
I’m seeing a pattern here that demonstrates literally no strategies work.
They all work and they all don't. The markets are a selffullfilling prophecy. General rules for profitability are that you should wait for the market conditions for your strategy. Keep stoplosses tight and take profits long (taking profits as it runs). Everything else is bullshit tbh. All these strategies yet people still can't make money. Doing the same thing over and over again is hard
@@mr.marciniak6982 I’ve tested, backtested and coded literally hundreds of strategies and i have yet to find one that works consistently with any significant return on forward testing. I’m starting to wonder if maybe it’s impossible and day traders are delusional.
@@SuperheroArmorychannel Using a bot to test strategies is not good. There has to be atleast 5% discretion with any strategy. Or just turn the bot off when market conditions change. I've manually backtested over 20 atleast and more than half have worked. Even supertrend strategiess. But I noticed the one thing that made it so was my Take profit levels and moving to break even as soon as possible. About to get funded in the next 2 weeks if i can make just 5 more%
Bot type mechanical strategies have a W/R of around 40- 45%. You have to take hundreds of trades for a decent return if it has a positive EV. People can only achieve over 55% using some type of discretion. But this means less signals ands its frustrating when you miss a perfect setup. I do both.
@@mr.marciniak6982 I haven’t tested moving to break even yet but I’ll have to try that. I prefer a custom programmed pinescript strategy and bot to remove all human errors. If a strategy works consistently then it should allow for automation in theory. Or at least to send me alerts so i can quickly get eyes on the trade and decide for myself. What are some of your best strategies? I often find that backtests will show high win rates over 2000% annually but not perform well in forward testing. Any suggestions?
