Wow, what an ordeal Jeff! For such a short flight that length of delay is beyond frustrating. Even I felt the annoyance of the delay. I actually haven’t flown AA since the 90s, before the merger with Reno Air. That tells you how old school I am and I don’t think I’ll be flying them any time soon.
Yes, that was annoying with the mechanical issues and boarding process. AA is pretty low on my list of airlines to fly. Thankfully there are lots of choices between southern Cal and Vegas. Thanks for sharing your memories and watching!
One thing you should know you can always check your bag for free as long as it’s a carry-on size and you bring it to the gate and ask. Another thing, American Airlines will start asking you to volunteer And pick a dollar amount, even if the flight is not oversold or it’s not even full yet.
I hope you have a better experience next time you fly. Thanks for sharing Jeff.
Thank you always. We'll see if I have to fly American again if it is any better.

5 hours late for a 45 minute flight 😮
Yes, it would have been faster to go home and drive, but the airline had me check my bag before.
Typical of AA of course... Two aircraft with two different problems...
Exactly.
