Thanks again! I actually have another video where I use the ASUS Router but I’m not sure if I want to upload it as there really isn’t a need to use a router in a vehicle with the WiiM Pro or Mini.

Dave, you're right, but it's not entirely wrong to upload this video as well, it's always interesting to see what you have in store. Thank you again for a great review.

How are you powering the wiim pro? With the usb c present in the car? Is that a stable solution and give to wiim good enough power?

Thanks for being thoughtful and going through all the steps. My questions are:
    1. You have a DAC in your car and it’s connected to the headunit?
In my car i connect either an iphone or Android to the headunit via usb cable. Sometimes if i don’t need navigation I use Bluetooth. I stream subscription services or iHeart. Why do you need the streamer in your car? Thanks
Also via cable calls go to the headunit.

I have a Helix DSP Ultra connected to my PAC Amp pro via optical toslink. The DAC is inside my DSP like I said in the video.
Bluetooth although it’s gotten better over the years is still the worst way to play music when compared to a wired connection or like in this video streaming via WiFi.

Just got mine a couple of days ago.
Now I get it. If I want to listen to Qobuz I need the WIIM PRO.
My headunit doesn’t have an AUX connection. I’d have to Bluetooth it. My DAC is portable, but can’t connect it to the headunit
      Thanks

Correct me if I’m wrong.. wiim IS the streamer and the phone is just to control. You’re not streaming from the phone. No?

In this video I’m streaming from my phone (Uses Data) to the WiiM Pro (Via WiFi) and then it runs through the coaxial digital output of the WiiM Pro into my Helix DSP Ultra.

The WiiM mini has optical digital out and sounds great when you pair it with a good DAC. Neither the Pro or Mini sounds good with the internal DAC.

Can I ask you... It's got Chromecast built in. What does that mean, I need to have the physical Chromecast device?
    Thank you

It uses your wifi network to stream audio and it’s built into the WiiM Pro. Just another way to stream music.

@@CarAudioHorizons Thanks, but I still don't know HOW to use it.
I AM using the Alexa app to stream iHeart (for pod casts) because I can't use the WIIM app for that. Apple Music is just Airplay. Ok. I get it. Just don't know how to use chrome cast
