This was beyond amazing, Kelly is so talented. Her voice sounds great in all genres. My favorite though at award shows is seeing the reactions of other artists when someone is obviously being great. You can see who's too full of themselves to show they enjoy something, or appreciate someone else's talent, and those that just truly love and enjoy music and great talent.

My question to you is, do you have a hard time just getting lost in a song or are you constantly breaking it down in your head? I went to college on a vocal scholarship and after a year, changed my major because I was having such a hard time enjoying the performance aspect because school was focused more on the mechanics. Just curious if you enjoy the music or the mechanics of it more? Love your channel!!

At the begining of the show she joked that she didn't want to do any cheesy opening numbers, then they burst into this opening. She's amazing. Her versatility is unmatched. I don't believe the same stipulations regarding an artists' permission to sing the song applies here since it's an award show and these songs were nominated, one way or another, for an award.
Hears My Church, yep Home Free’s version of 90% of the covers I listen to is the version on my playlist. A rare exception is that I have the Adam Chance/Peter Hollins version of Country Roads on my Spotify playlist instead.
After Morissette Amon's Wish Bus version of "Rise Up" kinda went viral and far out performed Andra Day's in terms of views and likes, I can imagine many artists would be hesitant to let Kelly "I can sing anything" Clarkson cover their song. When I was getting song permissions, anything less than 15 seconds was treated differently than a full song.
