    Oh she's for SURE 100% reading a prompter. She said it herself lol The lyrics are just there if she needs them but some songs are so wordy she needs it. Love your KC reactions man!

      That was an extra special one no doubt (ok no pun intended lol). LOVED that so much I wish she’d record a full version. Along with many others she’s done. This is a particular favorite of mine.

    Kelly was probably reading the lyrics from a teleprompter, she learns these songs on the fly as you probably remember Jason saying, her preparation isn’t long. She’ll have it there for reference if she needs it. I don’t know how much she knew this song prior but it’s pretty wordy lol. She uses a teleprompter for her own songs in case she gets lost (which is pretty funny lol), she says she’s not good with lyrics, especially ones she has written.
    I want to put in a second request for her cover of Just A Girl. I wasn’t sure how that would come out before I heard it, but she flipped it upside down and it was beautifully haunting.

    Excellent!! Loving your vids, but how about a reaction video on the woman who's shoulders all these ladies stand on... Barbra Streisand! The only recording artist in history to have an album debut at #1 for six consecutive decades. She's got some awesome duets too with Celine Dion, Donna Summer, etc., and most recently, a live on stage one with Ariana (40 years after it was originally recorded with Donna Summer).

    These lyrics to this song are hugely misunderstood by so many. Many think they are vain, about looking down on others,, when in fact they are confident, and teaches us that we can actually everything we want on life, because we can, without hurting anyone else on the way. Completely different views on the same thing. One is disempowering, while the other is empowering.
    I love Kelly's voice on this, but it's clear to me that she didn't understand the meaning of the lyrics. It's about understanding that life gives us everything we want when we believe we are worthy of it, and when we do believe we are worthy of it we will have it. And when we receive money from this place we also share money with others. A very humbling place to be. If we understand it. Most just judge it from a place of not understanding it.

      very interesting!! but what makes you say kelly didnt understand it?

    • @carinalindberg7377
      @carinalindberg7377 2 года назад +1

      @@JacobRestituto So the lyrics can be interpreted in various ways, the main two are vanity and empowerment. The vanity comes from a superficial view while the empowerment comes from a deeper understanding about how we actually create our lives. The line "I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it" is actually a universal law of energies telling us that we can do, be and have everything we want. It might seem superficial and vain when you don't understand that it's heart based, universal and something we all do. Ariana, I feel, provides us with both the vanity side as well as the empowerment side, but I feel Kelly didn't provide the empowerment. That's me, though, we're all different and or might be empowering to someone who isn't as passionate about being empowered and sharing empowerment as I am. 😁 Thank you for asking! 🥰🙏

      Music is subjective. Just bc it means one thing to you doesn’t mean it can’t mean something else to someone else. You don’t get to decide that. It’s open to interpretation.

      @@carinalindberg7377 I think it's interesting that you said it's 'clear' that Kelly didn't understand the lyrics, and because you feel like she didn't really get the empowerment side of it. I really disagree, I think Kelly has been dubbed by some as Queen of Covers for her ability to not only nails these songs vocally, but to provide interpretation of the song I'm a way that sometimes different, but always staying true to parts of the essence of the song. For example look at her cover of Billie Eilish's Happier Than Ever. While I think Billie wrote the song as an angry song, her delivery seems to highlight the sad depressive side of it, while Kelly's interpretation still provides that, but more highlighting the angst. Also, when it comes to songs about empowerment, Kelly probably has one of the best catalogues for it. A lot of her hits are songs that are empowering, so I don't think she would struggle at all to deliver a song about empowerment. In fact, the wink that she did in this song I think is one of the ways she showed how she understood the confidence needed to deliver this song

    • @carinalindberg7377

      @@alameenhatta3277 Yes, because to me it is clear. What you feel and see has nothing to do with me, I only ever speak for myself, just as you can only ever speak for yourself. There's no need to specify that it's my personal opinion and interpretation as anything else is in fact impossible. My understanding of life is deep and wide as it's my passion. Energies is my passion. The song is about the Law of Attraction. Whatever anyone else hears and interprets into it it still is about the Law of Attraction. I don't feel that Kelly understand this about the song, she doesn't deliver the message of that. To me. To someone else she might. But to me it's clear that she's missed the point of the song.
