Good job mate. I found on mine the bottom of the antenna tube is clamped to a bracket which makes removal of it very hard, unless you remove the guard.
"Until I break this one" Love it. I changed mine to the bull bar, not breaking any more. But thinking of going electric. Pain the arse to put in I bet. Nice job. Thanks
Hey, thanks for the vid, I just installed an aftermarket antenna and not happy with it for the same reason as you mentioned. Toyota Genuine non-electric antenna = $80 bucks, I should have bought it in the begining. Genuine also has an extra mounting bolt at the bottom of the tube.
Hey thanks for the video, you might have mentioned it, but do you think it is possible to sold the new wire and the wire that connects to the radio instead of removing the dashboard and removing the radio?
David Alvarado I think autocorrect jumped in there. If you are meaning solder the wires? You have to remember that the antenna wire had a core and a shield. I guess it would be possible but you would be better putting a plug on the end. You could possibly end up with interference on the radio. I would recommend doing it properly.
@@blackllama1 Yea it was an auto-correct. How difficult is it to remove the original radio to connect the antenna cable to it? And thanks for the quick response, didn't expect one so soon.

Thank you! Will be doing this next week!
Informative videos, thanks for doing them.
Do you have video on fitting those diff breathers I cansee there in your engine bay? Cheers
No I did that years before I started making vids. I might look into making one to show what I did
@@blackllama1 That would be great :)
What an epic journey
Thanks

Great video thank you
Thanks
Could the interference be because of the extension?
I had the interference before the extension went in. Was hoping that it might fix it.
I think it’s something to do with my headlights
I put in a electric one.
does it connect to the antenna motor? or you have to pull it up and down manually?
The one I put in is a manual antenna. Not a powered one. That is a different process and different antenna. They can be fitted to these
@@blackllama1 Thank you.
