I love the honky tonk piano sound in Sailor. Those two songs were the highlight of their career. 50 years old, and I still love them. As for Motley Crew, inoffensive hair spray band. I don't hate it, probably wouldn't turn it off, but would never ask to hear it.
Wait, they are definitely not the same song! Good concept for comparing songs, I like it. Motley Crue just normal hairband stuff from the time that I listened to back then in the mid to late 80's. Sailor were a very unusual band I remember from the 70's when I was a kid. Both tunes are ok in my book. In the same vein you could compare the two Gloria's, Van Morrisons and U2's, both are very different songs I listen to a fair bit and both artists are Irish.
I slso requested the song by 'Sailor' about two years ago. Anyway, some suggestions for, "Wait... That's Not It": "Underwater Love" by 'Smoke City' and 'Faith No More', "Girls" by 'The Moments and The Whatnauts' and 'Beastie Boys', "Twilight Zone" by 'Golden Earring' and 'Manhatten Transfer', "Hallelujah" by 'Leonard Cohen/Jeff Buckley' and 'The Happy Mondays'. There are many more but these are good ones to continue with.
@colrhodes377 Thank you, Col, there are so many more as I'm sure you're aware. I really liked your suggestion of Robert Plant a great track that I hadn't heard.
Sailor is such a guilty pleasure band for me, but i love them. I have an idea for same title, different song. And at the same time presenting a new artist, too. - Song: "Heroes" - Artist: David Bowie vs. The Glass Child (Charlotte Eriksson, independent author and songwriter)
Yes, Vaudeville is a good way to describe the sound of Sailor. Love and heard both songs. I think I said it before, but anyway, I have a suggestion of the 3 different songs called over the hills and far away. One's an old traditional English song, another by Led Zeppelin (my favourite) and you've already heard Gary Moore's song, so I thought you might like a version of it played on a hurdy-gurdy, in a very traditional Celtic style. 👇 ruclips.net/video/Ec729nmajwc/видео.htmlsi=Jao7_FV9WUsy4KPM P. S. I also just thought of another 2 different songs by 2 different bands - Baby come back, by the Equals and Player. There is a third, but it's an old instrumental tune, I can't remember by who though.
Sailor part of this is brilliant ! Makes me smile 🙂…. Though they had a short career in the UK charts as apart from Glass of Champagne and this I can’t think of one other song they did 🤷♂️.. my moment of cheerful reverie was soiled and ruined by the sound of those dreadful carbuncles on the ass of music Motley 🤮Crue .. no time or respect for those clowns 🤡 Still a great idea though Col and good on you C n C for taking it up 👌 👍🏴
Motley Crue had gone Full Poodle by this point. Their FIrst LP showed a bit o Promise but they had their Edges shaved of and Veered into the Middle o the Road for the rest o their Career.
How about a Day where 2 or 3 people get the song suggestion that they really love of all time. To get their suggestion played they must explain their reasons adequately, so it sparks your interest each time. Just have these suggestions, One day a week.
I suggested that exact same proposal at the same time Col and Starburst_Candy proposed the same title different song idea.. sadly I was ignored .. 😢 👍🏴
@@monaromark1021 no harm in making suggestions is there ? I spent the 1st year on here trying to get them to drop Canadian Content as it was patently unpopular, especially with Aussies , but they’re happy with what their doing and yeah , that’s their choice and I’ve stopped going on about it now 🤷♂️ 👍🏴
Nice entertaining songs must be their wife's there to keep a check on them. So, they do not get seduced by the fans in any way. Our culture was structured a lot like this in those days. That could be the reason, the band didn't play gigs for so many years.

For Motley Crue im reminded of a Beavis And Butthead quote,..."woah, look at those chicks"

@Adam_Le-Roi_Davis. 👌👌👌
Sailor 👍🏴✌️
There's so far that this idea can go. So many people will know songs that have the same title but are way different.
Piano playing was quite good, But I would request for "Liberace" playing "Aquarius".
He was one of the greats, and richest Piano players of all time.
Ooohh a Brucey Bonus 👍🏴
Is this the start of Col Rhodes idea ?… 😅.. get in there Sir Col 👌

I wish you guys would have watched the original video to Girls Girls Girls..that would have made the reaction even better...
Suggestion for the theme, close to the name you've already got, Beastie Boys 'Girls', and Dwight Twilley also, 'Girls'.

Have you ever considered reacting to some mashups? There are some really good ones out there. Just s thought
Not really something we are interested in.
2 DIFFERENT SONGS ??

What to do, it's their channel after all. If we badger them too much they will get unhappy.
