I usually like to take songs and make them my own, but the original is so so good, and Red Official's cover is SO so good... So this cover is kind of a mix of both! :)

Hi Genavieve I’m a small RUclipsr and I also lost my brother in a car accident a long time ago. I majored in film (and I like to study it) and I used to sing when I was little. I first noticed that this song sounded so powerful that it was as if it came out of a Disney movie (which are the peak of film brilliance) and then I realized that you posted this after you lost your sister. I teared up knowing that the power coming from your voice was coming from the pain you were trying to overcome with your sister. Just wanted to say that this was beautiful, and I’m glad it took off. Our greatest light can often be found in the darkest of places

Genavieve, I'm so impressed at how you tackle the most difficult notes in a song and manage to not only nail the notes, but you put your own touch on them and take it in even another direction I wasn't expecting. Since I found your channel a few weeks ago, I literally get up first thing and watch your videos whole eating breakfast. I have been feeling more grounded and inspired than I have in a long time. I see what you've gone through and dealt with and how you channeled it in positive ways and give God the glory. There is no better purpose in life than using your gifts to help other people and serve God imo. And in the midst of great sadness with what happened to Corinn, you haven't been defeated. You're doing this for both of you. She's with you on the journey every step of the way. When I try listening to the original versions of the songs you cover, now they don't seem as good to me unless you're singing them lol. Why do people keep telling others to go to AI or The Voice, almost none of the people that go on those shows ever have success and most get stuck in horrible contracts. More people in the last 10 years have become successful just doing RUclips than reality shows.

Take voice lessons, of you can afford it. The voice teacher can help you learn techniques to help you with those problems with your singing.

Just my opinion but your voice may be the best female voice I’ve ever heard. It’s hard to describe it. It’s more than just hitting the notes. It’s the whole package. The lows, highs, tone, feeling. You could sing to me about getting evicted and I’d go homeless with a huge smile on my face!!

All I do is worry about my job and keeping my family up. I’m on third shift now. I come home, get ready for bed, and put one of your videos on as loud as this phone will play. May be the only few minutes a day I truly relax, let go of my worries, and realize there is still hope and amazing things this world still offers. Your voice alone does that for me.

I watched this video a few weeks ago and loved it. A couple of days ago, I watched a “Top ten NEVER ENOUGH covers” just knowing Genevieve would be part of it. I was wrong. I felt she was jilted, until I figured out why. The top ten video was posted many months before Gen’s. If They update the top ten, she will be there. I don’t think any other covers have such a pleasant “grandfather” endorsement.
