Thank you !!!!! Awesome advice !!! Update : I just tried it and it worked !!!! I was so sad I thought I wasn’t going to be able to wear my nice black long sleeve today but I’m glad I found your video :)
Thank you! I had a sparkly vintage acetate spandex material duster that was absolutely stunning. I stored it incorrectly and it got those indents in the duster material and I thought it was ruined. I was so upset. I went on a quest to find out to fix the issue and your video popped it. Your tip worked and fixed the indents.
Thank you so much. This is great. I bought some nice, satin padded hangers, but they caused all my sweaters to stretch at the shoulders. I thought they were ruined, but now I look forward to using your tips.
Omd ur a genius , I wore my Nike wearer out in the rain and forgot to put it in the dryer then some nipples appeared I was so worried cause no one had my issue until I saw your video, W man❤
Thanks. I've been drying almost all my shirts on a hanger (only putting regular t-shirts in the dryer) and never had issues, but recently bought merino wool shirts that got a bad case of shoulder nipples after washing them for the first time. Glad to understand what's happening. Although I don't understand why in both cases it happens on the same left side despite what looks like symmetrical hangers.
This has always been a huge annoyance! Happens on many kinds of tops. Not just sweaters. What I do, is spray the area with wrinkle releaser spray! Works great and dries much faster!
Have you tried blow-drying after massaging the fabric to your shoulder? PSA: You may want to take off said sweater before trying, so as not to burn yourself.
Is there any type of Hanger that is better to prevent these marks and stretching of clothes and skirts / dresses or better ways of hanging it? Do thicker and padded hangers work better ?
I have tried many before. The padded hangers do a good job as they increase the surface area on the shoulder. I recently created a video on some folding hangers. The angle of them helps decrease the chances of the marks from appearing. Their website is www.giabrend.com/ Feel free to have a look! Thanks for the comment!
@@LoganRyeTheTieGuy ok thanks , what kind of padded hangers do you recommend ? Do u have any links Or just thicker hangers will do ? I feel some clothes r getting longer as I hang them
@@suzi-ml8ep Any thicker padded hangers with a large surface area would do. The type is dependent on the clothes you have. Like I mentioned, a large area on the shoulders would most likely help eliminate those marks. You may have to try some out and see if you like them.
I used the padded hangers but still get the nipple. As I said in a previous comment, steaming works. Also your method and a blow dryer work well, if you don't want to wait for it to dry on your body. Do the blow drying off your body though!
does this work on a polyester shirt .. I have a bump on the middle of the chest area of all places .. ridiculous .. it looks like shit from the side, like I have some kind of growth on my chest when I have the shirt on lol
I would think that hot/warm water would be ok to use. I am not 100% sure that it would shrink the area. Its not like you are washing the clothes in warm water. Plus if you are doing this technique, you might do it for like max 5-10 minutes. I think either would be fine, even cold would do!
Thank you !!!!! Awesome advice !!!

What a G. I bought a nice Perry Ellis sweater with these and it fixed it IMMEDIATELY
I’m so glad I’m not the only person with this problem lol this actually worked !! Thank you so much for the tip and for posting this on RUclips!!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the comment! :)
This guy's idea for fixing the problem actually works haha well done man, and thanks so much.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for watching! Yeah got to watch with those hangers lol. Hope the tip works!
I've been able to steam the area and that also works without the rubbing or having a wet shoulder for awhile.
I think it's the same concept: water plus heat. Did you use an iron with a steam function or one of those standing ones?
Came here to say this. I use my steamer for a lot of things, including hanger bumps!
Either, but the standing steamer is more convenient for me.@@josuecornejo3947

Worked like a miracle! Phew I got scared there for a moment

Thank you, it works! Also, I love the little giggle at the beginning ☺️
Thank you so much my husband and I had masny arguments over this
This actually works thanks man.
Finally I got this!

I haven’t done that before no. I could see it working though. I’ll have to try it!
Just got a nice sweater from Tkmaxx/TJmaxx and it's got these was going to return it but will try this.
Let me know if it works!
does this work on wool
Sweater nipples. I am sold. 😂😂😂
Thanks sir! I have this problem with my Penguin polo shirts
Works, but don’t try this with pure wool, and especially merino wool. You’ll ruin the surface of the shirt by rubbing the wet fabric.
Can I still do it if the sweater is only 50% wool?

Glad I could help! Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Is water ok on Cashmere?
That's crazy, I have this same exact problem with the same exact sweater, I think it's a dip brand sweater.
Thanks dad
Thanks! I used a spray bottle but it worked for my Thanksgiving shirt nipples! 😂
I've never heard sweater nips before lol always called them shoulder nips myself

You can give it a try. Polyester may be hard to do this with though. Let me know if you do!
omfg this worked! u saved me time n money xD
Thank u man!!!
I like to use hot or warm water with the theory it will shrink that area. However, I don't wear the shirt while wet...any thoughts?
