Namaste, these terms used as same in india but basically optician is more qualified for different test of eyes and provide them glasses while opthalmic technicians are assistants and help in different areas of eye hospital

Job wise, both are equal. Salary wise, optometry gives you a better edge. But, your interest will also pay a roll.
An optometrist is healthcare professional that means he is an independent primary eye care practitioner whereas a radiographer is an allied professional that means he has to always work under a radiologist. This information is given you as per the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021.

Doctor of Optometry is not available in India. To prefix the Dr. title in India you have to complete Masters and PhD
