Nice video...and a bit different from the time you were there with the track all outlined and manicured....but I will say..I can bash and have an awesome time in a parking lot or open area....put down some lines for a track...and I'm allover the place..keep the videos coming ..the Slash is definitely handling way better than before...
Sweet video, I was wondering if you have any tips on getting s 2wd vxl to not roll over while cornering, or to have the rear wheels lift while going into a corner?
Bcrc, I’d say either sway bars or adjust your shock positions appropriately,if you look on the traxxas web site they’re a read about how to properly set up your suspension depending on where your driving and also btw when your rear wheels are lifting you need to stiff in the front , Larry putting your front shocks onto the outside hole and that will give your control arms less leverage on them there more making it stiffer
on that little track you should be running a 2s also i assume you are running a brushless which means a programmable esc so take some of the punchout out of the system so you can have a little more linear acceleration and turn the gyro on, a gyro won't save you it will just help you save yourself also i don't think that is the right surface for trenchers, i personally run badlands on my 2wd but i don't think even they would work well there, i almost think you need some pin tires like you have on your racing truck......
Nice upgrades. Looks great. The shocks seem to be working nicely. I think a headband mount for your go pro would work great for filming and then you can use both hands to drive. I see a lot of other you tubers using them.
I'm pretty sure they make a chest rig, and if not it should be dead easy to modify a go pro one to mount up to your phone with a case and the right attachments.
@@nerdepreacher7787 you’re probably right…..I honestly prefer filming with my phone but most people would prefer if I filmed with a GoPro and head mount…I tried that once….I didn’t really like it…..maybe I need to give it another shot
Whoah.. $120 for 4 shocks... I just paid £12 for 4 ZD racing shocks for my Senton.. I'm not trying to be a dick, but you said "cheapest"... Did you mean the initial purchase price.? Btw, the Traxxas Slash 2wd base brushed model costs around £260 here in the UK.. A 2wd VXL is nearly £400.. A 4x4 VXL Ultimate is around £570. The new Bronco is around £600.. For some reason all Traxxas RCs are like 30/40% more than any other make. For reference, a Senton v3 mega is around £220. A Senton v3 3S is £320. An Associated M10 Rival is about £250.. And the HPI Maverick Quantum flux is £160. Anyways, love the vids mate.. Stay safe out there & best wishes from Scotland.
I like gtr shocks and tekno springs
Thanks for the recommendation!
I really enjoyed this location.
Yeah it’s my local race track…it’s a ton of fun!

Glad you liked it! Yeah I enjoy running my Slash just about anywhere too…..
Your should make a GoPro mount on your controller
I don’t own a GoPro though lol 😂
@@RCKnockout or like on some camera it’s simple all you need is a phone holder and then super glue it to your remote
@@Earle_stoeckel actually I’ve got a controller mount for my Traxxas controller….I rarely use it though
Great test and bashing
Thanks!
only think I dont like about aluminum hexes is they round out the wheel hex if the wheels are using plastic in that spot
Yeah that could happen with the traditional aluminum hexes
@@RCKnockout I ended up going back to stock plastic hexes, they seem to work fine on my 3s 4x4 vxl without any stripping issues

Yeah the fuel line hack for the shocks definitely helps. I made a video on it a few months back
@@RCKnockout I'll go look for it. Thank you.
@@nerdepreacher7787 no problem 😉
hot racing sway bars and lcg chassis if you dont already have it. havent had an issue

Yeah I have proline blockades on it now
Or low gearing

Maybe I should try that out….but I use my phone most of the time for filming so I can’t imagine trying to put that on my head lol 😂

Thanks man! Yes initial purchase price….it’s not the cheapest build lol
its because the services traxxas gives out because they are focused on new rc fans
As another Wi guy, where is this track?
It’s not in Wisconsin…..it’s in Iowa actually
Bro you don’t need a go pro the quality is great. What phone are you using! Lol and just get a cheap tripod for your phone and there ya go bro
