    Here are the questions:
What did you think the first time you saw a Blythe doll, your initial reaction?
Did you love the doll right away or not?
If you did eventually warm up to the doll, how did that happen?
If you didn’t warm up to Blythe, be nice and explain why.
Here are some of my first doll videos, which I mentioned in this video.

I first saw Blythe when I bought a small journal with her on the cover. I picked it up because I thought she was kind of adorable. I think it was around 2010, maybe? A friend started posting her dolls and I fell in love. Once I learned more about them, I fell even harder. I grew up in Cincinnati and was Kenner obsessed, since it was local and they made the Star Wars figures that I loved so much. I had friends whose parents worked for Kenner and I thought that was so cool. A toy company was/is a dream job. Once I learned that Kenner was the company that started Blythe, it was all over and I was into it. It was 2012-2013 when i bought my Bohemian Peace and then Simply Guava shortly thereafter. I lived with my two girls for many years and then Blythecon happened in 2022. I took my two original girls and it has been a whirlwind ever since. I have added to my collection (A LOT) and discovered Icy, factory/fakies and customs. I have a RUclips channel, and IG page and belong to many doll groups on FB. I love this hobby and Blythe has brought so much joy to my life. I am so glad i somehow fell into it.

I was always aware of Blythe but didn't really like her. I decided on Pullips because I thought they were prettier. Deciding to redress my dolls more, I realised there is so much available for Blythe so began looking at her more closely. The rest is history 🤦🏻‍♀, obsessed! 😂🍄... I agree, Blythe is a great play/interactive doll when compared to Pullip. I've never redressed Pullip. She's strictly display. The whimsy of Blythe has me completely hooked, in fact I pretty much dedicate my collection to her now 🤗🍄

Between the hair on most of them and delicate bodies, Pullip for me are also mainly display dolls. Thanks for sharing your story.

This is pretty interesting. I kind of had the same feeling as you did… But I will explain more when I actually do my video on this tag. We’ve been very much under the weather the last few days, so hopefully in the next couple weeks I will get to this Tag and the other tag you tagged me in 😎

I don't recall where I first saw Blythe dolls, but the Kenners are quite familiar, perhaps they were in stores...but I recall thinking the head was huge and never looked back.
I got back into doll collecting about 25 years ago, but didn't take to Blythe right away. I don't remember when it hit, but I know the first one I ever bought was a beautiful blonde fakie from your Etsy shop. I was in shock, how big she was when she came in the mail and just loved all that hair! Then I bought a second fakie one from you, and one off ebay, with blue hair. I love their luxurious hair! 🤔
Then I got my Peachy doll, which I have mentioned a few times, who is Mademoiselle Rosebud, (from ebay) and got a dang good bargain because she has slight damage.
I definitely plan to get another real gal, one of these days!

The fakes are gateways to the real ones. I like them all too. Thanks for sharing.

I knew of Blythe dolls for awhile before I ever saw one. Just a vague idea that there were these big-eyed, big-headed dolls out there in the world. But it wasn't until I found out about Smart Dolls, which I still desperately want one of, and realized how pricey they were that I decided to look at other collectible dolls to see what I could find that was more in line with my budget.
Once I saw some pictures of Blythe dolls, I wanted one asap. My first one I named Blythe (pronounced with the softer "the" sound, like bathe), which I found very funny once I realized she wasn't an authentic Blythe doll. Lol Then I found out about customizing them, and that was it. I've watched countless video tutorials, unboxing videos, etc on Blythe dolls, read many blogs and such, and my collection has grown significantly. I am still waiting to afford an authentic Neo Blythe doll, but it's high on my list. 😊

Hi Tammy. I found you from watching Ksea’s tag video and I had to watch yours as well. I just purchased two factory Blythe from Aliexpress. As soon as I get them, I’ll make a video and link it here and on Ksea’s channel as well. I’m brand new to the doll collector scene. So new that I haven’t told my husband yet. 😂 Thanks for a fun video 😊
