    You could've explained what the Xanmod kernel or any of the other lesser known components do.
    You gave less info than even his post.

    This boy must be a real smartass in all the right ways.
    I mean this tool doesn't seem to do the most wonderful magic but thinking of Windows, even there such GUIs that simplify processes such as this are welcome time savers.

    The antique NVIDIA Drivers 390 is a bricked driver and show be newer. Ubuntu should have 400+ drivers for NVIDIA GPU.

    Well done Rudra! Maybe it would be nice to add a nice looking note for Linus and the likes' next travel, eg: People in UK and some more countries drive on the other side; Cities all over the world have a -wiki- office tourism where he'll find accurate information on the best spots, transportation or sport facilities the city he arrives to has? Also @Linux For Everyone will check the utilities you talk about that I didn't hear about yet. And maybe compare Rudra's Ubuntu gaming remix with the Voyager Gaming edition (wich happens to be a nice looking Ubuntu for gaming). Thanks for the fun :)

    Might as well add MPV too.
    Now if only using Davinci Resolve with an AMD graphics card on Linux was this easy.

    Why Linux is so important all of the successful people in tech today had the luxury of open systems to learn in from a young age and sadly a few pulled the ladder up after themselves.

    The irony of this is that it will lead to issues about bundled software & really...it's going to be had to imagine it repsects all the licensing.
    Though really, the problem is people have in general... no damn'd clue what most those components are, and if they need to update, upgrade, modify one that's not exactly user facing typically.... it's a headache.
    The honestly largest problem for linux is the god damn'd tutorials... and how 95%+ are out of date, wrong, or geared for a specific use case, and non of them cover there is a major component change (kernel, service/systemd, package manager, etc), and often are only for a single major LTS version only.
    Even the manuals for most the projects are.. so prone to leaving speculation it hurts if it needs any other packages (like php, etc)

    • @gargoyled_drake
      @gargoyled_drake 2 года назад

      for someone who is not used to it maybe, but there is only one way to get over that and that is to, get used to it, play around with it, dive into it and reach the point where you know your OS
      EDIT: really not ment in any negative way, it's just how it is.
      i know your frustration cause i have been there as well, but the more you force your self to use it the more you get to know it and the easier everything gets.
      i am for that specific reason not letting my kids use windows but linux only, so that they get used to it and not confused by it.

    • @DePhoegonIsle
      @DePhoegonIsle 2 года назад

      @@gargoyled_drake until they get to use windows and get confused by how all the stuff doesn't need speculation and an inside out knowledge of all the interconnections if the programs.
      Honestly though, until linux in general gets the sh*tshow that is exceptionally sh*try documentation.... this will always be an issue.
      Honestly, im not sure you are helping as much as you think.
      There needs to be a linux distro that actually follows good practices when it comes to software design

    Still don't like Ubuntu, not because of their politics and controversial snap store, but they customized gnome to the point, where it is almost not gnome anymore, causing bugs and crashes.
    Rudra's talent should be invested in other distros seriously.

    It is ridiculous to believe that this is a 7th grader job, not even a 10 grader. It is another example of a father that pushes his son to the front and sacrifices himself. Maybe the boy can install these apps but to come up with a complete solution with all those components? Nah..

      Yeah, I thought so too, till I got to know that his parents (although both are highly qualified techies) don't have a clue of what he does along side his class and home assignments! Totally self taught by a far mature brain than many if not most if us...keep it up Rudra.

These video that they made at the very least will help us to convince the dev that there are still few things that can be improve to make linux user experience better. While i dont wish it to be window or mac os, im a strong believer that ease of use and data abstraction are important n good to have
