The premise of this song is that Twilight has been outliving all of her friends, but every time they die, she brings them back to life. After a while, though, their bodies can't take it any more, and Rainbow Dash steps forward to confront her about it.
The whole song is a conversation between her and Twilight, with her friends present as well.
0:00 Rainbow Dash approaches Twilight, knowing the following conversation will be difficult.
1:23 Twilight thinks about all of her time spent with her friends...she doesn't want to lose them.
1:41 All friends confront Twilight about this; she has to let them go, since they're too weak to continue being brought back.
2:34 Rainbow Dash speaks up again, as more of a comforting spirit, telling her everything will be fine, and it's all for the best.
3:12 Rainbow Dash says she and her friends are ready, and gives one final confident smile.
3:41 Twilight contemplates everything...she still wants to keep her friends, but she's torn.
    4:15 She has an idea...
    4:29 She'll cast a spell
4:41 She'll make them ALL immortal
4:54 The rest turn aggressive, none of them want this to happen, and they attempt to stop her
5:21 Twilight snaps, turning the spell of immortality on its head and killing them all in one fell swoop.
5:51 She surveys the scene, unsure of what she's done. Was this truly an accident? An act of avarice? Or was this what they would've wanted?

Spooky and dark, but pretty interesting even if sad. Reminds me with how the theme of the album "Fear of Dark", from Seventh Element, goes with the Twilight not liking being immortal for 500 years as well as "Twilight's Dollhouse" by Kaidan where she goes crazy and preserves everyone she wants into a dollhouse of sorts. All familiar but have the fine tuning that make them unique among the creators.

The beauty of this masterpiece is not only because of its composition, but also because of the story it tells. This is true art.

there's something dark in this song that really just pulls me in and makes me question my existence and who i am as a person. i'm honestly unsettled by this song in a good way because of what i just described. same with another of your songs (always There.) there's also something desperate if i'm not mistaken. really good song. 10/10

Well, at first, I absolutely have to say : this is some passionate music, you can really feel it.
But I also hope that the fact that when you say that this music "was" your farewell, you still have some hope and will to continue. Because if I couldn't agree more that the fandom isn't what it was, we're still here. And we will always be here, listening and liking your music (and sometimes criticizing it, even though we don't know sh*t about music).
So, if you want to leave it there, it's your choice, and Bury Me would be an amazing farewell.
But if you decide to keep going on, and I hope that I speak (or write) for many people here, we couldn't be happier to keep listening.

To be honest, I have almost listened all of your works so far. The views some of them have(unfortunately) disappointed me. You deserve more than you get. Unfortunately, people don't appreciate these kind of quality works sometimes. I think your works are like hidden treasures which include so much inspirational feelings. You are so right to leave it but however there are many fandoms to move on and maybe more fandoms you can get more respect. I am not a pony fan but I listen your music and I will continue listening too. Cause it gives me a the inspriation that I need. I hope you continue to your works cause we all need it.

Due to complexity mental illness and routine desorganisation the only thing I want to do in the end of the day after work is engage in something that is in the same mood of my mind, your tracks really helps me to deal and understand what's going on with me nowdays.

I've never been a part of the fandom, but I've always appreciated your work. I first found it through Undertale (to which I've concluded that you're incredibly talented, considering you're my favorite composer I've ever seen). Usually when someone composes, there are a few songs by them that I dislike. But with you, that doesn't seem to be the case. Each song you create I love, even from years ago. I've listened to almost all of them and each one still feels different, nuanced, and unique in its own way.
I understand how it feels to have your work overshadowed. It's terrible how people don't recognize true hard work and a creative ability like yours. I personally believe it's amazing and I would want nothing more than for you to keep on composing. Just remember to take breaks every now and then when you feel low on the ideas or the energy. Giving yourself a breather is healthy and allows you to make better music. Take care of yourself and put your health first. I appreciate every song you put out because it's you who took the time and energy to compose it. I'm really glad you keep doing what you love, even with a lack of recognition. Your music is different from other people's for some reason: I can't pinpoint why but it's always struck me as unique and worth listening to.
Thank you for uploading your music. I really appreciate it.

Not gonna lie, when I'm looking for anything orchestral, Radiarc is my first thought, no-questions-asked go-to musician. You make the best stuff, and honestly, there's only one other Brony orchestral that I would say competes with you in my eyes. Ironically, it is neither Carbon Maestro nor is it Aurelleah. It is, sadly, a musician who died rather early on in the fandom that went by MelodicPony.
To be entirely honest, I rarely look you up on RUclips except for when I'm looking for a particular taste that day, but I ALWAYS get excited to see your name pop up on Ponyville Live. 10/10 favorite artist on Luna Radio. Carbon Maestro makes some good songs, sure, but I always find myself passivly (and sometimes actively) jamming out to your music.
My favorite Brony Musicians of all time are (in no particular order (because that's just cruel to me me do)) Radiarc, 4everfreebrony, Princewhateverer, And BlackGryph0n.
Thanks you so much for making so much amazing music over the years, and I wish you the best in whatever endeavors you find for yourself. I suppose everyone has to move on from the G4 fandom eventually... Some may seek solace in G5, others will hold their memories of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic firmly in their hearts. You have the power to be the pony you want to be, and I hope you realise that. Nobody can stop that except for you. Sorry, I am rambling at this point (bad habit of mine), but the bottom line is you're an amazing musician, and I don't care what you or anyone else has to say on the matter. Best of luck to you

It's brutal, dark, and gritty. You can feel the emotion that was poured into the song in every guitar chord. It's not a happy piece.
You get to decide who your friends are if the ones you have now don't make you happy there are always others. Some rot is best cut out to fertilize the land. Don't hesitate to branch out, but just don't forget your roots.
You've made an excellent piece, and I wish you the best with your future projects. If you ever need someone to talk to don't hesitate to hit me up if you need an anonymous brain to pick.

I don't comment often, but this song really captures the emotion of the story you have there in the description. That's something that you do better than any of the other musicians in this space: you capture an emotion and make the music resonate with that feeling. In this case, it's a feeling of pain and desolation.
I sincerely hope that you begin to feel better, and look forward to whatever further music you grace us with. Thank you for the time you put into producing these amazing pieces of work.

You have a very special gift that's hardly seen anymore in the music fields, and that's putting everything you have into your work, all your emotions, your heart, blood, sweat and tears. You will forever have a fan with me, I would like to keep on this amazing journey of music thy you have provided for us all. If you ever need a ear to listen to you, I'm always available, granted we may not know one another but with all the work you do for us and the beautiful music you give us, id like to do my best to help if I can. I'm sorry you are feeling this way, and I surely understand it can't be easy. I'm not sure if anything I say can make you feel better, but I'll try because you deserve to feel better. I have never been super into the pony fandom. I like the show a lot, but I'm not an active fan so to speak. Yet, I admire and listen a lot some MLP fan musicians, because their music is amazing and not only they make the show and its characters deeper and more epic, they often times inspire me and help me to build up my original stories and characters. This is absolutely the case with your music buddy. I have so many songs from you on my inspiration play lists and I totally need them to get the right atmosphere for writing or drawing. You have so much awesome music and I'm sorry if you have been overlooked, because as an artist I know how that feels. I am still an amateur, but if you have felt this way for years, it must hurt like hell. But dude. You are talented, you are awesome. It's possible that your music just doesn’t reach the right people in this fandom. E.g. the Undertale songs you did were breathtaking and so fitting for the game! They are still some of my favorite UT songs, easily! And I mean EASILY! They are so good! Ah, this is getting too long..
What I'm saying is, you shouldn't quit on music. It's good if you explore other things than MLP and maybe you'll find the audience you are looking for elsewhere. Don't give up! I believe in you.

Radiarc, you are by far one of the best artists who's work I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. You don't need lyrics in your music to convey the same things others need them for. It's amazing. You were one of the first people I found in the pony fandom for music, and still one of my favorites. If you need to move on to something else, that's ok, go for it. Maybe spread yourself a bit. We're not limited to one fandom, after all. If not, well, I'll be listening to your music either way. Thanks for making this wonderful content.

You have to be the most consistently amazing orchestral artist I know - I'm not even going to push you into the mlp music corner. You've done very well regardless of the theme your content has. CarbonMaestro and Aurelleah make good songs, but neither of them put as much of their soul and heart into their work as you. I don't think any musician in the fandom, or any musician I know, comes close to the amount of emotion and "you" found in the songs you create.

I'm afraid I'm one of those that just...rarely comment on anyone, and sometimes I hate that I feel like I contributed to someone's lack of self esteem because of that. Hearing this...I wonder how many people there are like me that just don't read anything and don't say anything, even though they love the creations they listen to and the artists. The silent lovers....I think it's high time I stop being silent.
You...are...incredible. There is no other way to put it. YOU make me want to make music. You really do. I'm sorry I've never said it before, and I'm sorry I've only now started to think that maybe...just maybe...if I say something, it'll be meaningful somehow. Yes, you were inspired and produced based on ponies, but that doesn't mean it has to be your be all, end all. You don't have to let it go, but you don't have to let it be your entirety either.
Music is what you make it, what you let inspire you, and what you express yourself with to us. Show us who you are, please, in your entirety. I want to hear what you have to say, pony related or not. Your music speaks, and someday I hope to have a conversation with you in this way.

It is heart wrenching to witness with my very own eyes as one of the greatest and the most long standing artists from the brony community leaves the stage. It is not in my power, nor in my right to try and stop you from doing this, since you are in the full right to make a such choice. But, I think, I do have right to remind you that quality of music and popularity are not the same and do not always correlate.
There are a lot of musicians, and not only from the brony community, who struggle for a simple recognition of their talent and it happens not because of lack of trying but because of the very far from perfect way anyone can show their works to the world - let's be honest, there is no website which can give the fair amount of recognition or popularity to an artist according to their skill. Sometimes, it is sheer luck, a whim of fate, that helps some to gain popularity or fame, not their skill.
All I want to say, is that you are shouldn't rely that much on dry numbers. Sure, they don't lie. But they don't tell the whole truth either. Number of your subscribers or views of your videos don't tell that your music is in foundation of Luna Radio, nor do they tell how much your works appreciated by every of each of your subscribers.
Do not lose hope. Your work is appreciated and loved, even if some days it doesn't seem like so.
But if you still choose to leave fandom - I wish you the very best.
No one is going to just bury and forget you, I can promise that.

It maybe sad seeing you retire, but feelings can never be forced to go one way, I definitely understand your reasoning.
You are one of the best composers I have ever listened to in my life. I'm no expert on the art of music but I tend to listen to things that inspire the imagination, being in visuals and narrative. And your music fuelled so much of my dreams I keep thinking about when I have quiet time. I remember my childish concepts about a Half Life x MLP crossover, I always attach the "Nightmare" tracks to Princess Luna augmented to do the bidding of the Combine and to lay hell against their adversaries.
It also often enhances fanfics I read as well to feel more alive in my head. As if they were being played out in front of me.
Farewell my friend, whatever path you choose I hope it yields the most desired results. And from me and the people here, you won't be forgotten.

To say that I understand what you're going through would be a lie. But the fact that you've stayed strong and persevered up to this point is already more than I probably could have done if I was in your place. You're an exceptionally talented composer and it's a crying shame that more people can't recognize that. We fans love and care about you, Radiarc, and whatever comes next, we will support you.
As for the song, I think it helped me to appreciate "In the Know." Maybe it was the pony theme, lol. The artwork (praise tsitra, our lord and savior) and the music go together seamlessly, clearly illustrating a grim story of sadness, anger, passion, and solitude. Guitar is so incredibly perfect for Dash every time it's played. I don't know anything about music theory so I can't exactly give you any suggestions, my apologies. Though I suppose that the thing I look for most in a song is it's ability to tell a complete story (exposition, rising action, climax, resolution), and I've never been disappointed by your songs in this respect.

I think I may have given the wrong impression with my description; I originally did mean for it to be my final pony song, but I've had a change of mind since working on it.
There are many times when I'd want nothing more than to distance myself as much as possible, but I could never outright leave, and I don't see that happening any time soon.
So long as I feel there's something to be done here, I've got a reason to stay.

Radiarc thank you for taking the time to tell me this. And I apologize if I come off as selfish. You should do what you want, but I will say this in response to your worries about your stuff being good: we all crawl before we walk, and walk before we run.
Many of us know this. Just like we KNOW the children's lessons in the show, sometimes it just helps to have someone point out the truth: you are good and not everyone just says that. If you ever begin to doubt yourself go to this video and read the responses your listeners gave to the thought of you losing your mojo.
I hope you never lose that drive to improve.☺

You are everything that I looked for when I came into the fandom. Of course I found Carbon Maestro first but he lacks in the amount of content and probably time for music. From what I can tell, he isn’t dealing with depression or making music- he’s just off at school. I don’t think I am anywhere on the same level of stress as you but I feel it. Trying to produce for all 26 of my followers on SoundCloud while keeping life in check. Keeping religion, school, work and content while depression drags you down is hard. I am not working near to as much as you but I just want it to end, just be done with all the stress and pull the plug. I have found solace in music, it has become my saving grace. I don’t need to be sad, I can listen to your music and share that pain with your music while I get some tears out. Your music has a way of sharing it’s emotions with it’s viewers and I can say confidently that very few producers have been able to do that in more than one or two songs. Maybe you need another break, I think that’s what I need.

I actually just got laid off from my factory job, so I'm gonna take a couple days off before searching for another job.
Finding a balance is tough, but it's possible; just trust that things will get better over time.
      It'll all work out eventually.

Great work! Looks like you're pretty good in many genres at once. How about making funeral doom metal music with ponies? Some depressive/suicidal themes - that's what brony community needs

Dude I didn't even notice the view count when I first clicked.
I heard that guitar and went like: Hoo, FUCK yeah
You pretty much define the orchestral spectrum of music I want to get good at,
Me personally, I want to get really good, no not even that, fucking awesome at the music that rings in my head on a daily basis. I don't want to rely solely on EDM, and honestly, I'm a bit adverse to starting anything with it, I can feel a certain flaw to EDM. Some kinda trap that would confine a creator to a rail without them even realizing.
Me talking about this perhaps helps nullify it.
    ---
I'm not really sure where I'm going with this, so I'll try to end it succinctly.
    Don't stop making.
What you make is valuable. Even if you don't feel like doing pony (keep doing it plz tho, its fucking delicious) you should know that people genuinely care for and love your music.
Keep making cool stuff. You're amazing.
Also, do you offer any classes or stuff? You definitely look like someone I can learn from.
That reminds me, I need to buy your music-

Honestly, I'm self-taught, so just shoot me a message any time and I'll try to respond as quickly as possible.
There's a lot of stuff I don't know and a lot of stuff I've just simplified, so the advice you get may not line up with other people's.
As far as production goes, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing, most likely.
I don't know where it'll take me, but I'm gonna run with it until I can't run anymore.

This is phenomenal. I love it, just like I love your other music. (And is that a hint of Ex Machina in there? That song is still one of my favorites of yours.

    • @Radiarc_
      @Radiarc_  6 лет назад +2

Yeah, I brought the deep chants back from Ex Machina.
I'll stick with the fandom for a while, because a lot of the art is very inspiring (this whole song was actually inspired by the picture), and I'm still friends with a lot of the people.
I also kinda owe it to the community to stay, since it helped build me up to what I am now.
I'll take detours when I want, and I'll come back when I want, I'll never choose to just stop; there's always more to be done.

Hello, will you put some more of your songs on Spotify? I like to listen your music and Spotify is my easiest way to do that when I'm travelling. I found you on Spotify few days ago and inmediatly you have become my favorite when I need some inspiration or just relax. You are making a good job, your music is fantastic! PS: My favorite song is Vast Valley, I even have it as ring tone on my phone.

Hey, Radiarc. I don't comment on RUclips that often, but I just want to say that I'd hate to lose you, man. You make up a big portion of my writing playlist. And although it's true that Makkon, Carbon Maestro, and Aurelleah are on there too, I've never considered you below them. Honestly I've always thought of you and Makkon as the big boys in fandom orchestral. I'd understand if you stopped, but I'd really like if you'd keep on helping me expand my creative playlist. I'm adding this one to it now.

    • @Radiarc_
      @Radiarc_  6 лет назад

It's just that I got so worn out over thinking that I just wasn't good enough when I'd see these other orchestral guys get 30k+ on a song while I was just sitting there at 3k and below.
It didn't make any sense to me, so I just kept pushing myself to get better and better and think further outside the box, and my skill improved drastically, but I just didn't go anywhere in terms of audience, even though that's not entirely what it's all about.
I won't outright leave the fandom, but I realize that most people in it would rather listen to Jyc Row or Aurelleah, and that's fine -- it's a weight off of my shoulders and it'll allow me to work on music for other things.
It's disappointing that I was never able to find the thing people were looking for, but it's all chance, and I got dealt a terrible hand consistently for 4 years (seeing as the first two years I didn't put out anything I'd consider great), so I'd rather not continue to restrict myself to pony if there aren't many people around to tell me otherwise.

I Completley understand where you are coming from. I quit making music not long after "Forever United" I believe my last song was "Tranquil Memories". But it was less about the fandom and more about things weighing me down in life. Keep your head up! Id love to collab with you sometime if you are interested. I'm working on music for a video game but that just wrapped up. I am free.
Your music is great and this really captured the bitterness you were/are feeling. Great job. !

Ughhh. I have a love/hate relationship with these types of compilations because they have good artists like you Radiarc, but then there's a lot of songs that have lyrics or are dubstep and I don't like those. Wish there were more good instrumental only musicians like you.

Idk, man. I can say i never heard of you before, but this song is amazing. Could've worked as a soundtrack easily.
But the story you put into it... Meh. It quite depressing and overused, although i haven't seen it turn aggressive before. Picture is quite disgusting too.
I would have preferred thinking about it as some Wild West theme. With epic notes.

    • @Radiarc_
      @Radiarc_  5 лет назад

The picture is kind of what inspired the whole song, really.
I make a lot of depressing things, but that's what I identify the most with, and that has the tendency to draw me to less-than-pretty pictures; most find them disturbing, but the connection I feel with them often surpasses any sort of filter for my audience, same with the stories behind the music.
However, all work is open to interpretation -- just because I made this with a certain story in mind doesn't mean you have to think about that when you listen to it. There are many great songs in the world with shocking or terrible meaning, but many of us don't keep that in mind.
