Solid list. I'd probably put MegaGargo at #1. It just gives you outs against more stuff compared to Valk since it locks down anything. You can neutralize up to 5 targets against a hybrid deck, blast over a level 4 or 6 in the RapidX deck, etc. It also generally gets played alongside more "sturdy" ace targets like things with armor purge or protection so it's easier to abuse.
I feel like you guys hit the mark on reprints. Getting a dedicated tin(example) would be much appreciated. How often have (and how many) cards needed a reprint in this game? Would be nice to see more product formats from Bandai after the global release is aligned.
1:42 that’s what she said 4:25 only one psyche in a dark animal deck is crazy 1:19:20 xD 2:10:36 shiva ace does see a lot of play in asian tyrant decks; in a lot of decks it actually becomes the primary side mega. on play it suspends something for tyrant to swing over with end of turn tama effect, and it can boost itself up to 14k so that tyrant’s end of turn effect can bot deck an opponent’s 14k body. its immunity from digimon effects while suspended also makes it very likely to be able to survive the opponent’s turn, meaning it can potentially become a second tyrant for only 2 memory in the following turn.
Hello gentlemen, long time with no real question. I was pondering what to ask and I remembered a question that I asked a while ago about keywords being more generic and Chris answered saying recovery should be more generic. The realization that I game upon is that he’s not just right, he’s incredibly correct. In this game only yellow recovers and security is vital in this game. It really doesn’t make sense that other colors can’t. Yellow could still have an identity with unconditional recovery, while other colors have to fulfill conditions: I.e. red deleting something or have a dp threshold; blue bouncing, card count, or checking for no sources; green suspending or counting suspended digimon/tamers; purple counting trash/milling, or discard, black ??? (Idk maybe if you have the most sources or only one digimon?) What do you guys think? Keep up the great work best digi pod on YT
Honestly Weregaru ACE was useful in blue base Beelstar as well as Royal Knights. He was a solid defensive option to prevent damage or stop tamer shenanigans iirc.
EX02 decks had LKX’s number this week. I went down to Reaper while playing Lordknight. I don’t play Levia X at all, but figured I’d run a couple GranKuwaga ACEs. Sadly I didn’t run them for that match. Easily stops them from lethal attacks.
I already commented this on one of your match videos, but I'd really like to hear your thoughts on it, so I'm just gonna copy/paste it here. Hopefully you can address it on the next podcast, but I know it's a lot so if you'd rather not I understand. Bees can do cool things, but it's hampered by insufficient means of manipulating its security. The problem with the deck is twofold. It doesn't cycle through and setup its security fast enough, and it doesn't have enough ways to maintain it once it does. Put simply it lacks both aggression and defense, which is ridiculous because green and black's whole thing is aggression and defense respectively. There's an easy fix though; just make them yellow. I don't know why the deck isn't part yellow anyway. I mean, I get it; they're bug cyborgs so thematically green/black is damn near mandatory, but they're bees. Bees are...YELLOW, and yellows entire thing is being the security color, so just do all three! It's not like Bandai hasn't already done this exact thing in green TWICE before with Cherubimon and Leomon.
Bees has two separate lines. Keep TigerVespa's line as green/black and make QueenBee's line green/yellow. Tiger's text doesn't need to be touched, but Queen's new line should focus on spreading debuffs and general yellow stuff. For example, Cannonbeemon should stay the same, but Vespamon should give Barrier to the broad instead of Blocker (this will synergize nicely with Queen's "All Turns" effect) and instead of deleting things it should DP minus them (let's say minus 3k for every face up security you have, and he can spread it around). Waspmon's second effect should be changed to "All turns Once per turn- When an effect places a card face up in your security stack give 1 of your opponent's digimon Sec.Atk minus 1 until the end of their turn". QueenBee should've had a "When Digivolving" effect. Place 1 digimon card with the Royal Base trait from your hand face up at the bottom of your security. Then for every face up security you have, give minus 3k DP and Sec.Atk- to 1 of your opponent's digimon until the end of their turn." Lastly, and I think this is probably the biggest change; Winr and the digi-egg should swap effects. Let Winr be the one setting up your security every turn. As a Tamer he'd be much harder for your opponent to get rid of and he can stack (now the deck just needs a way to play him out). Having Puroromon allow you to digivolve from security as a "When Attacking" effect just makes way more sense imo and, of course, it would do it for 1 less memory. It likely still wouldn't be a tier 1 deck, but you can't tell me my version of Bees doesn't sound vastly superior to the one we got. Plus, since it's part yellow now, that means it has access to all the good yellow options besides just Heaven's Judgement.
Hahaha Im exactly the same as Shaun, played yugioh for a long time then stoped took a break and now Im all about Digimon. What's your opinion about Angels in a Lord Knight Meta? And Birds is a spooky deck overall, I don't wanna face it ever hahah. Sakuya Loop will be the same when Taomon releases.
As Ragnaloardmon player, he should be top of Tier 2 or bottom of Tier 1. The other cards in the deck can make him nearly unbeatable if you know how to play the deck and have the right cards in hand. MegaGargomon should be S Tier. Preventing opponents' Digimon from digivolving and getting to swing without worrying about getting Aced is huge now.
39:20 that is a bad argument from Brandon(? I'm really bad with names) If there was a slightly better card version of any card you just run that instead, the only reason you wouldn't (in Digimon at least) is for the name, if they printed a Metalgreymon Ace that popped 1k dp more than the old one, of course you'd use it over the old one 100% of the time regardless if it was a godtier card or not.
Most of the time if you're running a card for the name, you're using it for a higher end card, or for a lower end card. (Agumon can search Metalgreymon Ace, Raid Wargreymon can evo on top of it)
@@amateurishauthor2202 It's also pretty huge when "being a name" means you instantly get GreyX protection which can be a huge deal if you're preventing overflow etc
Dude!!! You commentated on the Eagle Nest tourney and didn't promote on channel? Didn't realize until round 3. If I would've known I would've tuned in for all the rounds (watched Avaults 1st 2 rounds)
1:05:02 “ I wish it was more splashable “ Really. You wish a blocker raid with the ability to return **ALL** Of one level to the bottom of the deck **THEN** delete a body to be more splashable Also while it’s true Crimson outside. The inverse is true (the Single digimon delete is not reliant on the DNA. Just the same level bottom deck)
makes 0 sense fighter mode is above omni when the argument for omni being low is that it's specific since both are archetype based. also fighter mode can be replaced by hexeblau but there is no omni deck without omni
Idk why they said fighter is archetype locked, cause it's not... blue is just a broken color so other blue decks don't need it. Omni isn't generic enough. It would probably be #1 if you made the list around "how powerful is the when digi effect in a vacuum"

Out of curiosity, couldn't you use the gabu x and greymon sec from bt17 to make gabu bond now have 4 sources

Shiva ACE brooooken (probably tier 1.75 in pulse) basically taking out 1 shroud for 1 Shiva 😂

@@latitude990 It's absurd to say, but the name of the card matters a lot, whether it's for protection, for searching, or even for certain options.
