A recurrent theme in Greek mythology and a general cultural aphorism was: "Everything in moderation; nothing in excess". One of the most sacred places in Greece, the temple of Apollo at Delphi, bore the inscription "Meden Agan" (μηδὲν ἄγαν) - 'Nothing in excess'. This story is a great example of this general principle: even gods should be worshiped in moderation; fanaticism is dangerous.

So let me get this right so instead of punishing the King and sending him to Tartarus, or Hades he turns him into a creature that runs around killing and eating people what he was already doing 🤔 but he gave them more strength, and power to do so and made them even a bigger threat... yeah checks out to me 🤷🏾‍♂️
