I have a very minor suggestion. As a newbie to Notion, I felt that too much was happening too quickly when you actually got into Notion usage. I am not sure if it was because you wanted to keep the video short, or perhaps you assumed that most people were already familiar with the platform etc. In my humble opinion, the video would have been much easier to follow through if you perhaps changed the pace and format of your presentation (for some technical topics such as this). Except that, I loved the video, the edit and the overall quality. Hope you consider this feedback positively! :)

Notion is crazy good! Been using your Productivity template and it has really got me started with Notion. Notion was very overwhelming at first, but thanks for making sense out of it and the free templates are a huge plus!

Great video, Jeff! I just added your Notes template setup to my own Notion! One addition I made was making a property for the source of the information in the note. That gives me a way to filter by source in case I remember who said something but not what they said! 😅

Keyboard clicks -> Clean Shot X! I hesitated using it at first since you have to pay 29 USD for it but MAN am I glad I did! It sped up my workflow like crazy! Pop up -> That's just a plugin I bought for FCPX I will be doing a video on my video editing workflow soon! I'm trying to compress it within 15 minutes haha

I like the note taking system that you presented in Notion. I eventually want as organized as yours but I just started to use Notion and is not as easy as it seems, I have watch the video like four times already. I Have to learn the program one step at a time just like the zero Gmail.

Jeff, love your channel. Question for you, how do you use Notion and Google Keep together? I saw a video of yours for Google Keep as a note taking system and now this one for Notion. Did you remove Keep for your workflow?
@@JeffSu Thanks Jeff! That makes sense. I've been working on my own system and had been using Drafts as my capture tool of choice since it can practically export anywhere. Only down side is it can't export to Notion. Based on your videos I might do away with that completely and only use it for voice notes on my Apple Watch and just go Todoist to Notion. I have truly embraced the GTD system, is a life changing experience. Keep up the great content and being authentic!
Hey Jeff, how do you decide when a new note is archived vs resurfaced? It seems like any time I have a new note on a good RUclips video, it would forever just be resurfaced so that I can have it available all the time
Re-surface = I know I will need to reference this at some point down the line. Archived = it's basically outdated, there's no way I would come back to this

This was a great video but following how you got to each page as related to your 'index' that housed your 'backend' and 'frontend' notes was a bit difficult. I never understood what you meant by 'database vs doc'?
What do you think of Thomas Frank's idea? He uses PARA in his latest system and links the notes, for example, to a table where the sections/areas are (similar to notebooks). This is a slightly different approach instead of using several databases as notebooks. Yes! I don't know if this approach is better, so I ask you as an expert (you surely know his last video about Ultimate Second Brain where he described this).
Great question Frank! So this video is old and now I've completely migrated to Thomas Frank's PARA setup 😂. At first it felt weird to have 1 Notes Database for each area/project of my life but having used it for a few months it makes perfect sense!

@@JeffSu I might be getting it wrong but one can create multiple notebooks right? Like in your template, notebook 1 is created that opens up to the whole database. Likewise I want to create another Notebook to work upon. But it doesn't opens up with the whole database set up instead just a text. Am I missing something?

Jeff, love your channel. Question for you, how do you use Notion and Google Keep together? I saw a video of yours for Google Keep as a note taking system and now this one for Notion. Did you remove Keep for your workflow?

@@JeffSu Thanks Jeff! That makes sense. I've been working on my own system and had been using Drafts as my capture tool of choice since it can practically export anywhere. Only down side is it can't export to Notion. Based on your videos I might do away with that completely and only use it for voice notes on my Apple Watch and just go Todoist to Notion. I have truly embraced the GTD system, is a life changing experience. Keep up the great content and being authentic!
Resurface test is so important and my biggest pain point.

Hey Jeff, how do you decide when a new note is archived vs resurfaced? It seems like any time I have a new note on a good RUclips video, it would forever just be resurfaced so that I can have it available all the time
Re-surface = I know I will need to reference this at some point down the line. Archived = it's basically outdated, there's no way I would come back to this

This was a great video but following how you got to each page as related to your 'index' that housed your 'backend' and 'frontend' notes was a bit difficult. I never understood what you meant by 'database vs doc'?
Database = Table. Document = Page

What do you think of Thomas Frank's idea? He uses PARA in his latest system and links the notes, for example, to a table where the sections/areas are (similar to notebooks).
This is a slightly different approach instead of using several databases as notebooks. Yes! I don't know if this approach is better, so I ask you as an expert (you surely know his last video about Ultimate Second Brain where he described this).
Great question Frank! So this video is old and now I've completely migrated to Thomas Frank's PARA setup 😂. At first it felt weird to have 1 Notes Database for each area/project of my life but having used it for a few months it makes perfect sense!
Great 😀 I have partially implemented Thomas' system and it makes sense. But to be honest, I found it "too much" at first 😄I'm still not sure if it's better to just use a note-taking app instead of doing everything in Notion 🧐

@@JeffSu I might be getting it wrong but one can create multiple notebooks right? Like in your template, notebook 1 is created that opens up to the whole database. Likewise I want to create another Notebook to work upon. But it doesn't opens up with the whole database set up instead just a text. Am I missing something?

Yes you can choose the specific date to be reminded!
