Loved the picture of you and your dad. I’m almost 70 and this was my first Father’s Day without my dad. He recently passed at 93!! What a blessing to have him so long. Sunday was a hard day.
So sorry for your loss. I loss my dad when he had just turn 70. After all these years I still think of him everyday. Father’s Day was hard even after 36 years he has been gone. I don’t think you ever stop missing your parents at any age.
The minute you mentioned naming the block, all I could think of was Eddie Munster. I forgot he was a werewolf. I thought he was a vampire, but then I remembered that was Grandpa.

We used to race home so we could watch Dark Shadows every day! Remember Cassandra who had the really big eyes. She played her scary part so well. That vampire does look like Eddie from the Munsters. This is so fun. I loved seeing all the cool fabrics that other people used. Many thanks!

I used to watch Dark Shadows when I was in high school. I thought it was cool back then, but now as an old woman I would probably think it too scary. 😂 I'm not a big Halloween fan, but this quilt and your blocks are so cute! I loved seeing everyone's creative blocks, too. I made my first block for the jelly roll quilt last night. Yay me! ☺
My Grandmother watched Dark Shadows every day at 12:30 PM. I recently checked out all the episodes at the library.

I always look for alliterations for names such as the vampire, so I suggest Vander the Vampire, or Vinnie the Vampire.

We actually met Eddie (Butch Patrick) about 15 years ago on a motorcycle trip to South Dakota. Fun times. Loved the Halloween Mystery parade--such cuteness!

Dark Shadows every day after school in my best friend’s front room with the curtains closed! Great times!!! I put my Reeces in the freezer; love the crunch of the first two bites. Love the Halloween quilts; so much fun!

OMG! I always thought Eddie was a Vampire too! Block is too cute! I WISH I could keep so many projects circling at once like you do Pat. You inspire me. I agree it is such a waste of time not to have multiples going at once. I track everything in a quilt journal but still suffer from confusion & overwhelm! So I love all the tips you give.

Pat, I love your unique love for novelty fabrics! I say unique cause I don’t know of anyone else that brings them to our attention. Also, your gift of putting fabrics together is very refreshing. Most that I see use a fabric line and only that fabric line to construct their quilts. I do not want to imply any criticism to any view of choice. My purpose is only to point out how unique I find your choice of fabrics. I want to thank you for being true to yourself. I have been quilting since 1985 and you have taught me to look at my fabric stash differently. I bought these fabrics that I consider not so safe in my fabric choice, cause their not a generic pattern, but I love and loved them. Now because of your influence, I am branching out in my fabric choices in my construction. I love that your quilt tops have your look to them. They are not just the lines look. I desire to see that in my quilts. You are always so kind and upbeat. Thank you, for sharing yourself and your love of quilting. Again these are not criticisms. I like it all, but you have given me some new goals in my quilting. 😊

I watched Dark Shadows when I was a kid, the TV show wasn't as scary as the Movie, which I also saw back then. The movie kind of scared me, for a long time I was afraid to look in mirrors (because vampires don't have reflections). I think I was too young but we thought we were old enough at the time.
