Very funny and entertaining! Your in-laws love you! The food looks great! The Ogali would go well with a Ghanaian stew! Wode Maya is already proud of you for looking after his family! The trust is massive!✅
As an African American, I recognize some similarities in the Kenyan cuisine: Ugali=Cornbread (we make it sweet or non-sweet), Pellau = Red rice, Okra stew (same we mix with corn, tomatoes and beef). I think that I'd be at home in Kenya. Glad you don't spice your food like 🔥🔥🔥 LOL!
You have done extremely well. Trudy. Well done our wife and so proud of you. Whan you have your in-laws on your side, you will never go wrong and there will always be peace. May the good Lord bless you and your entire extended family.
You just remind me of myself😁😁😁. Being Kenyan married to a Congolese I had to learn how to cook their food. The Congolese way of cooking is like west Africans. They love spices and I've also learned to eat food with pepper. A piece of advice dear, you must learn how to cook their food.
Yes, and she can also introduce him to HER foods. My husband is from the Caribbeans, I am from the South. He introduced me to ox tail conch, tripe, cow tongue, and salt fish. I introduced him to collard greens, black eye peas and other dried beans, sardines, crawfish, mac and cheese, chitterlings, rabbit, turtle soup, catfish and pigeon pie. We introduced new foods together and no longer eat most of these things.
Miss Trudy! Not only in Ghana also in Mombasa_Kenya some locals blend everything to make stew or we use Kinu/morta to grind tomatoes. Mombasa cooking styles (in Swahili households) is different from upper Kenya people
True dear, and those of us from the bordering Tanzania,we blend our tomatoes, pepper, onion and bell peppers to make stew,or cook any other meal,we also boil any type of meat with spices and herbs before stewing it...
Love the twists on you.😍 You did well hosting Miss Trudy 👏 My son used to call ugali cake when he was still so little. Next time you can just blend the chillie sauce or even buy chilled pickle aside so they can add as much as they want to accommodate everyone.
I was in East Africa for six months. With every meal I asked for pili pili. I've been in Ghana for 18 months, and I am sick of pepper! 🤣 BTW, ugali taste like banku without salt in my opinion.
Love your hair💯. Barbados food is very similar to both Ghanaian and Kenyan food. Getting to know the in-laws were very interesting to watch. How could they not love you? God Bless you all.

Ghanaians(Ewes) make a dish very similar to Ugali. We call it Akple. It’s also made of corn flour. The only difference for me would be the method of preparation.

Good job representing some Kenyan food. I recently got ugali maize flour at Shoprite in Accra. Got a brand called Impala and it tastes just the same as ours so you don't need to carry it from Kenya. I got spinach and kales from Shoprite too.
Good job, Miss Trudy, and congratulations on your wedding. Welcome to the club, and I pray that God showers your marriage with endeavor blessings. We love you.
