Flood irrigating hay fields with siphon tubes at the ranch

On the ranch, we try to grow the majority of the hay that we feed our cattle through the winter. On the Nevada side of our ranch, we irrigate our grass meadows with flood irrigation.
In some of the fields, we use siphon tubes to pull water out of the ditch and into the field. If you can get the water coming out of the tube below the level of the water in the ditch, it's pretty easy!
We all enjoy life on the ranch during the springtime. My kids love going and setting the tubes. There's nothing better than working with my kids on the ranch!
