Saw him live twice. Never seen a guy that tall with his touch before or since. The US would be good to develop a guy 3/4 Zlatan’s ability. His value to that Galaxy team is more than on-par with Vela’s or Martinez’s.
I would honestly say that no, it wasn't a success in terms of on-the-field success. However, he was still absolutely balling. He gave us the greatest El Trafico of all time, so it wasn't a total failure.
at the end the day it's still a team sport. With how the MLS work team have to sacrifice a lot of budget of the wage limit for a super star. LA Galaxy was just a shit team during the time he was there. LA Galaxy finishing 10th with 22 points in 2020 (22 games due to covid) without him while they finished with 48 and 51 the 2 seasons (34 games) he played for them. Kinda like how in baseball a pitcher stats are helped by run support from the fielders, striker can't score if the team can't create chances
Zlatan also joined while injured, and late (Just barely) into the season for 2018. His supporting cast had the third worst defensive record in the league in 2018 and 5th worst in 2019, something hardly related to his play. Not to mention it was a one man offense, with the second top scorer in 2018 and 2019 scoring 14 and SIX goals respectively. All this topped by the fact he was on the wrong half of 30 and you get a better picture of just how incredible this guy was. LAFC was a far better team, but no player was better than Zlatan.
It's a Shame that Zlatan didn't win anything at the Galaxy. He was that Big Personality that the MLS needed. At least he solidified himself in AC Milan before leaving.
Zlatan is, without doubt, the best player to ever play in the MLS so far. Messi might pass him, but I think this is his phone it in retirement package.

I like this answer
That last Twitter post alone made Zlatan’s time in the MLS a success. Iconic…

Ya I don’t agree with his take on this one. If it weren’t for Zlatan the LA galaxy would’ve been last place both seasons
your channel is litterly underated❤
If zlatan wouldve played for lafc and vela played for la galaxy, zlatan wouldve gotten mvp both seasons

He couldn't score against San Jose Earthquakes 💪
4:34 video begins
Every opposing goal shown got me thinking
How would one win with a goalkeeper like that?
Nobody in their right mind rates the Community shield (on any legit scale).
Well, that’s how the real football nations reign their champions. Get over it.
MLS too small for prime zlatan
bro thinks hes zava
