Hi Kevin, nice video really helpfull. I was wondering one thing. Im doing my clutch change on my seat cordoba 1.4 from 2000-2002 something like that. Are the XZN,S socket the same size for every XZN,S srew on the clutch??? O is it better to buy a socket set of XZNS screws, for futures cars?????
Hi Kevin, after changing clutch and flywheel on tsi 1.2 golf 2010 there is no crank. Starter works battery is ok. Do you kmow what the problem should be? Thank you so lot
Ebu C try turning the engine by hand on the camshaft side ... I very much doubt it’ll be the flywheel. Most likely a weak starter motor due to failing coil.
Kevin-Albert Williams starter is ok, is tested. Battery ok, jump starter is fit on. İ have turned the engine by hand it turned without problem. You can feel the engine sockets up and down. The people where i buy the set told me flywheel set is the same as audi a1 and polo. İs this right?
Ebu C the clutch kit can fit multiple engines variant. I can pretty much guarantee you it’s the starter. Bump start it down the road to confirm function.

rob007fen it’s a fairly straight forward repair ... the only advice would be a word of caution when you’re about to pull the gearbox out ... it can be a little bit heavy so maybe an extra pair of hands at that point and for installation after would help you a lot ... hope it goes well for you.
Piece of piss these golfs, made a lot of money working on them. Interesting though to see you remove the actual gear turret, I always just Unclipped the linkage, good to see different ways to do the job!

Jon Levi pretty much identical ... the only difference is the shape of the gearbox sector lever.

When you say there is no cranck. Do you mean engine won’t turn over. .?

Isak Isaksson just used a clutch alignment tool. Cost about £5 on eBay.
Get a draper one.

You could buy the 3/8 version which is about half the price or less. Will not loosen wheels and such but perfect for smaller fasteners.
