What is the Habitat Urban Gardens Program? An Introduction to H.U.G

Welcome to Habitat Urban Gardens: Part 1! 🌿
In this introductory video of our 5-part series on Habitat Urban Gardens (H.U.G.), we are thrilled to introduce you to our expert narrators, Amy Haun and Brian Townsend. Both are Master Gardeners with extensive experience in East Tennessee, having dedicated over 35 years combined to working with plants and agriculture.
Amy Haun, a Master Gardener since 2015, and Brian Townsend, a Master Gardener since 2001, bring their vast knowledge and passion to help Habitat Homeowners transform their lawns and gardens. Many of our homeowners are new to maintaining their own gardens, having previously lived in rental properties where upkeep was managed by landlords.
In this series, Amy and Brian will share best practices for lawn care, tips on growing your own vegetables, and the joys of creating a beautiful, sustainable garden. Join us on this journey to learn, grow, and connect with nature in your own backyard.
